I notice I'm fit when I do my usual workouts, dancing, walking, etc but when I try to jog or do a TV/video workout (like as if taking an aerobics class) that I am out of breath/tired after 5 mins LOL so I'm sure that I have some working up to do.
-
Awesome, what were your results? I ask because I still want 75 lbs off, I have lost 22 but my fitness level is up, I go hiking up to 4 miles, I do 70 and 90 minute workouts, I can jog a mile now...so I wonder if it's something that I need to wait for 30 more pounds or 50 more pounds nearer to my goal. I'm also not that big…

Even as fit as Madonna is, she says she splurges on weekends, has whatever she wants for a meal on the weekend and dessert too.
-
I allow myself a dessert a week and an off-diet meal and was steadily losing 3 lbs a week.

That's faster than Biggest Loser fast! Wow!
-
Wow, where do you guys meet people?! LOL

What bugs the CRUD out of me is if you are in the hospital for any reason, they serve you CRAP food. Jello (hello sugar, dyes, preservatives, not a real food, artificial sweeteners). My son who has MULTIPLE food intolerances, he had to get surgeries for chronic ear and sinus infections (ear tubes, adenoids, tonsils) and…

Yeasty bread from Subway that is not a natural food (goes through a lot of processing, bleaching or whatever to get to the state it's in, albeit smells and tastes good I don't find healthy). I would've never lost weight like Jared, I would however if I didn't eat the actual bread or only a small amount of it (like take the…

Why in the world would you ever wear a once piece I can't even believe you needed to contemplate it. You look fabulous!

The new guidelines are 2.5 or below. I am hypo over 2.0, 1.5 and I am on it. I stay at .08-1.3 and that's my happy point. AT 3.3 I'd be half feeling half dead. All the thyroid diet is low carb/high protein/veggies, no soy or goitrogens and workout 1 hour per day in basic terms. It's what works for most/all thyroid people.

this sounds very interesting!

I also make "healthy" fried rice. I use egg and egg white and throw in. Throw in a meat; white chicken or turkey sausage or something. I make brown rice in rice cooker. Cook and stir fry or steam up every veggie imaginable, peas, green beans, lima beans work, corn works, artichoke works, asparagus works, carrots, celery,…

I just had mashed cauliflower yesterday yummmy just like mashed potatoes. With peeler, peel zucchini and put on tomato sauce (spaghetti sauce, Marinara or something), cheese if you like I do it cheeseless. Meat on it if you like like turkey pepperoni but it's good just sauce. I love to fry up garlic in olive oil then throw…

Yep my son came even faster. I told my new Doc that my mom has fast deliveries and I do, too that she needs to be prepared and no, I won't go home from the hospital. She knew, but probably wasn't sure. She came in to check on me and I was just starting labor, and she goes "I'm going to go get coffee, something to eat and…

OMG, really?!!! Some Docs I tell ya!

I think you had the same endo I had at one point...I want my money back from that guy and my time I wasted...

I worked with a client in a wheelchair who I took to his Doctor over and over again for that same "mysterious rash" and they would prescribe skin creams that only made it worse. I took him in a 3rd or 4th time and said "look doc, why don't you take an actual minute and LOOK AND EXAMINE his arm, what you are giving him is…

Wow I've been overweight for quite awhile now and no doctor even said anything to me about my weight, I'm the one who brings it up as in "help me lose weight...". I was 216 when I had my daughter, in my 9th month and I got on the scale and the nurse looked me up and down and she was like "No WaY'...so she had me get off…

That doc is smoking something!
-
How rude of that Doctor!
-
I thought NOTHING would TOP the Doctor who bragged to me "I've delivered 102 babies so far....only to send me home in full on very painful labor to the point I cannot walk...to have my daughter on my kitchen floor delivered by firefighters...yeah...great job, Doc! LOL...he said I wasn't in enough…
-
That doctor WAS out of his mind...
-
how annoying!
-
LOL agreed. When it comes to the endocrine system, or thyroid I think they have 1 day or something really awful on that that's why a lot of docs cannot catch or even understand thyroid and the HUGE role it plays in our bodies yet, even know how to treat it. I've come across some horrible docs in my time, horrible beside…

In the 80's and 90's...eat less calories, eat less fat (this is a huge contributor to my metoblic issues). A naturopath put me on the Eat Right For your Blood Type Diet, mine was mostly vegetarian, tuna and soy. The soy made my thyroid go from good/normal and I was the thinnest I've been in years to OFF THE CHARTS. Soy for…

I believe this, it stresses your adrenals, which are already sensitive because of thyroid issues. I don't know how much you're eating, but more is better (more protein/veggies/good fats) in terms of thyroid. If your thyroid is not all the way fixed, you will be puffy from thyroid or adrenal issues. You may need to go to…

Wow, you are truly inspiring. Your arms look great, no sagginess. You look amazing. I can't believe you could wear the same outfit after 120 lb loss. What was your calories per day? I get confused on that one for myself and what workouts did you do?
-
I like this, good idea. I will try, except I need to find a replacer for the sugar, maybe honey, liquid stevia or coconut sugar.

I've been gluten-free for years. Total weight loss due to it= zero. I don't do it for that reason, though.
