Personally, I would recommend coming up with a training schedule that combines the two. Here is a link for a good article: http://www.womenshealthmag.com/weight-loss/cardio-vs-weight-training

Yesterday was day 3 of level 2 for me. Today was an "off" day as the weather here finally allowed me to get a run in outside. Tomorrow will be on to day 4. When I finish I plan to rotate between the levels (Mon - level 1, Tues - level 2, Wed - level 3........repeat on Th - Sat, then take a rest day on Sundays). As I work…

Great job! I am just about at the same point as you. I am 5' 3" and started at 214 lbs. I am down to 147 as of this morning. 67 lbs. lost for me so far, with another 20 or so to go. Congrats on your accomplishments! :)

This is what I do as well. I find that I stay on track better if I know what the plan is for the day.

I started the C25K program in June 2012. It's been a long process, but I am now consistently running 5K distances at least 2-3 time a week. Most days I try to get in at least 1-2 miles. When I started I didn't think there was any way I would ever be able to run for an entire mile........... It is just as much a mental…

I have signed up for my first 5K since graduating about a month ago. It takes place on 12/1 rather than Thanksgiving, and is called the "Reindeer Run." So excited! My speed is still a little on the slow side, right around 45 minutes for 3.1 miles, but this will be my first 5K ever. My goal is to have a time under the 45…

Outside is where I'd rather be for running. I find that I don't enjoy the running on a treadmill, and that makes it too easy to quit. I do worry, however, about when it starts to get really cold and snowy out...........I don't want to go to the treadmill, but I'm afraid I might have to.

Graduated yesterday!! Now it's time to work on speed and distance............registered for my first 5K, taking place on December 1st. Looking forward to it! Yes.........I just said I was looking forward to running a 5K!! lol!

Thank you so much for responding. I was pretty much thinking the same thing, I just needed confirmation to make sure I wasn't completely off base in my assumption.

One serving of Triscuits with a wedge of laughing cow garlic and herb cheese. Soooo yummy.

No coughing, just a lot of sneezing with a runny nose. Woke up feeling pretty blah this morning, so I'm thinking head cold. Took some extra vitamin C and a hour nap in the afternoon. Feeling better this evening........which is a good thing as we leave for our vacation tomorrow morning!

It really wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. I think I had built it up in my head, but with the intervals building up to it, made it almost a breeze. Of course I am now either fighting a cold or sudden onset of allergies........hopefully it will be gone before W6D1 on Monday!

Just completed W5D2. Felt so great to jog for 8 minutes straight! I even jogged for an extra 30-60 seconds at the end of the second 8 minute stretch before I started my cool down. I will be doing W5D3 on Thursday.......I am a mix of excitement and nerves about this one........

Mine is: Doesn't ever pick up anything after himself.........EVER! Garbage from opening the mail, wrappers from the food he has eaten, plates, glasses, shoes, clothes, tools, empty cigarette packs (although he is quitting! yay!)........nothing that he touches ends up where it should. It is always found wherever he used it.…

He is supportive of me, most of the time. Recently he has started rolling his eyes when I open MFP app on my phone. We are going on vacation with his family at the end of this week and he has already asked me, "you aren't going to be on that while we are gone are you?" Of course, I told him that I was. Then I was telling…
