Had a great 14 mile training run today. Averaged 14 mins per mile in mid 70 temps with high humidity. Time on the feet. Feeling much more confident.

I wish I had seen this earlier... http://nbcnew.to/1Mhrc7G Talks about Mirna Valerio being a slower, bigger runner....she is amazing!

After training for the full finishes up my plan in to work on pacing a little more and overall strength toning. This is the best running shape I have ever been in. I have been running for over a year now and thought it was a good idea at the time to sign up for a full marathon. "If not now, probably would never do it"…

I am in a better place mentally today than yesterday. Thank you everyone for all your advice. I am a runner...sometimes I just need the confirmation. Training has been good. No injuries so far. I think the increase in mileage and lack of support from extended family wears a toll on you mentally. Slow or Fast it is still…

My husband is super supportive and has always called me a runner. His brother and sister in law not so much. His brother is a runner and cross country coach. He feels if your mile isn't under 10 mins you shouldn't even try. He still thinks I won't finish the marathon. I've trained too long and hard not to finish. I think…

You guys are amazing and making my day a whole lot better!

PS: There are running jerks out there. Ignore them too. Because, well, they are jerks! This comment is the best! thanks!

Awesome Job! I am currently training for my first full right now too. Mine isn't until November, so I am about halfway through the program. Your success is a true inspiration that I can complete this goal. Thank you for posting and again AMAZING!

Fantastic job!!!!!! You should be very very proud of your success!

ftrobbie suggested a while back that I look into this group for support...finally making around to it. I started the couch to 5k program last July and never looked back. I ran a 15k in November in just a little over 2 hours. I have a bet going with my husband that if I run another half marathon (ran one in 2012) that we…

The word diet. It is lifestyle change. Calories in must be less than calories out...

I am having the same issues. Would really like it resolved. Currently doing calorie adjustments manually in exercise section. Just kind of annoying.

As of this morning I am 24.8 lbs from Onederland. Slow and steady. Hoping to get there around the 1st of the year. What great New Years present that would be :) Great job everyone!

INCREDIBLE! Great Job!

Wear what you normally run in! I cannot stress this enough. No extra tutus or crazy costume; unless you do this on a daily basis. Also the race tshirt worn the day of the race will show your rookie self; so don't do it. Wear your shirt when you are clean and ready to celebrate after the race is done. Have fun! This is the…

Starting today too :) we should make an official group.

Grilled chicken and fresh tomatoes with basil for lunch. Chocolate roasted almonds and an apple for a snack. yummy, now I'm hungry.

You don't know where that person is in their fitness journey. The instructor may appear obese/overweight, but in fact has already lost 50-100lbs. Judge the class based on how it makes you change; not the instructor's physical appearance. The best yoga class I went to was taught by what people would consider an overweight…

That is GREAT! Keep up the good work. Not a small insignificant thing about it!
