  • Thank you! What I meant is that I don’t sit down for long before I have to get a kid something or start a load of laundry or clean up a spill. Overall when I am home I am more sedentary than I should be. I also have been known to take mid-day naps when my kids are napping. I still usually get 3000-4000 steps. On my…
  • Night time eating has always been one of my biggest issues also! I started intermittent fasting, so that I gave myself a start and stop time. So far, I’m only six days into this, and I have had no issues at night. I’m really struggling with hunger in the morning though. Thankfully I do have more willpower in the mornings!…
  • Sunday is a bigger calorie day for me too. One thing that I like about intermittent fasting is that after fasting I don’t want to waste the hard work by eating too much. Also, it is much easier to stay in the calorie limits. The thing I don’t like about it is that I am still so hungry! Does the hunger eventually go away?
  • I just started last week and I have a lot of weight to lose! Feel free to add me!
  • Thank you for your prayers! I'm really mostly worried about my health, this was a completely unexpected pregnancy, and I never lost any weight from my last baby. I'm starting at my highest non-pregnant weight. I already have some joint discomfort and I'm worried that if I gain a ton of weight that I might end up with…
  • I'm also pregnant with baby 4! I'm due September 9, 2017! I'm freaking out a little because this was unexpected and I still have A LOT of weight to lose!! I haven't seen my doctor yet (appointment coming up soon) but I know that he will be happy if I lose a little weight at least during the first trimester! I really hope…
  • I think I might just avoid the cranberries. I have been completely off added sugar for just over a month and I'm worried that I might start slacking!
  • Eggs are just one example of something I eat frequently that I am sick of. I eat eggs for breakfast everyday, and I have tried them in many different ways. The only foods that I avoid are the foods that do not meet low carb requirements. I usually have 2-3 servings of low carb vegetables daily. I mostly eat eggs, cheese,…
  • I'm with you! I just had my third baby also. She is four weeks old. I am working on losing all the weight I gained plus about 40lbs. I'm breastfeeding which always helps! Good luck and congratulations on the baby!
  • I have a friend who is obese and her doctor put her on a 1000 calorie/day diet. She has to be super careful about the calories she consumes to make sure they are very nutrient dense. She has been on this diet for 6months+ and plans to continue the diet until she gets down to a healthy weight range. I must also say that she…
  • Hello! I just joined this group. I am due August 22nd! I have a 9 year old daughter, and a 3 year old son, so this will be my third! I have gained a ton of weight, over the last couple of months, but now that I am pregnant, I am committed to eating healthy! SW 180 5 Weeks 180
  • I still struggle with this, from time to time, but I started to over come this mentality when I realized that one meal, one day, even one week doesn't make much of a difference in the long run. It's the pattern of choices over time that makes the difference. You can have a huge calorie day, cut back for the rest of the…
  • I agree. Some people are better with complete avoidance of trigger foods like sugar. I think it's a great goal to try to have natural sweeteners. You can still treat yourself to something sweet, but it doesn't have to include the artificial or processed sugars.
  • I need to watch this. My first week of "maintaining" I gained several pounds.
  • I just started Wednesday and I am very excited! I love the workouts so far and I am excited about the diet bet!
  • Ok here goes! I want to join! I ran 2 miles yesterday and plan to run 3 tomorrow. Anyone can add me! I need all the motivation I can get!
  • I have done 30ds twice and ripped in 30, over the course of the last year. Right now I am mostly just running but usually do one day a week of boot camp type excercise. I haven't notice any significant muscle loss over the course of doing different exercise workouts. I actually am surprised that some areas that I don't…
  • I get up early Sunday mornings so I can get a long run in before going to church.
  • I enjoy outdoor running more than the treadmill but I do feel like on the treadmill I force myself not to slow down and outdoors I get lazy. I'm going to step it up and force myself to keep a better pace outside! Also I still have about 20 lbs to lose, so I know will naturally get faster as I lose the weight.
  • Thanks for the responses! Im surprised by how many people run faster outdoors! I guess I'm just not putting the effort into pace that I should be.
  • I lost my heart rate monitor, but I try to run at a conversational pace. I noticed this morning that I was going too slow. It has started getting a lot warmer too.
  • I will have to check out jog log. I have been using run keeper and it helps. I like that it gives you a time/distance/pace every 5 minutes.
  • Ok, I do know the distance, so should I check my speed every mile or half mile?
  • Greek yogurt is my new favorite! I eat 1/2 cup low fat plain Greek yogurt with 1 tablespoon sugar free fat free pudding mix. I have tried the chocolate, lemon, white chocolate, and cheesecake. They are all very good! I love the texture also, it has a whipped or mousse like texture. It is so good and I love how much protein…

  • One cup plain Greek yogurt has 23 grams protein and 140 calories. Even half a cup of Greek yogurt is incredibly filling. I used to buy protein powder, but I could never get over the taste. I buy the plain greek yogurt add stevia and fruit and it tastes great! Sometimes that is all I eat for lunch and it keeps me full for…

  • I read this on someone's ticker "I'm not there yet, but I'm closer than I was yesterday." I tell myself that all the time and it keeps me on track! Also Jillian Michael says "change is not a future event".
  • I think it is somewhat common to get pain under your ribs when working out, especially if you are a beginner. I have had the same pain as you described while I was running. I googled it, and I believe it is called a "stitch". It is often caused by dehydration, or eating too much before a workout. It seems to help me if I…
  • I just read in women's health magazine that 60 seconds of jumping up and down curbs your appetite. It's worth a try! I also tend to overeat at night because I am tired, so after dinner I brush my teeth. Binging is not very appealing with fresh minty breath. Whatever you do, do not give up! In time you will make better…

  • That is a good idea to do ripped every other day. I thought about doing the strength exercises and then just walking in place during the cardio portion. I felt much better today on my run after having two days of rest. So I think I will try sticking with both and see how I feel! At what point can a person run daily? I am…
