I'm 54, and would happily be your friend. I am doing a 25 minute video workout each morning, and it is definitely helping me be more fit.

I use both. An interesting take on almond milk is here: http://www.thekitchn.com/why-i-stopped-drinking-almond-milk-started-drinking-regular-milk-again-197085 I often purchase milk from a small local dairy, and I like my $$ going to support farms (I like seeing fields with dairy cows). But if its between generic milk and…

Go to bed at 9:30, and use one of those alarms that times your wake-up to coincide with a particular point in your sleep cycle. The first time I used this, I couldn't believe how great I felt, despite a short sleep time. You can download a free app that will do it for most smart phones.

Way to go! And I agree, bit thumbs up for Einstein. 40 lbs is amazing, and I look forward to admiring your next picture.

My first double friday... Whew its tough. Alpha here, week one. I can do about 85% but get winded and need sips of water. But I am sure it will just get better with time. One question -- when you double up on Friday, do you put a break in between, or just go for it?

I'm game, too. My weight crept up this summer, too, and I just started focus t25...

I tried the 30 day shred, and near the end it game me tennis elbow. I was out of commission for more than 6 months, but my arm is back, and this time I am trying T25. The 25 minute work outs fit my schedule, and my husband likes this guy's workouts. I'm only in by 3 days, but I expect that I will stick with it. It kicks my…

I've been intrigued by recipes that mix chia seeds into the oatmeal. Anybody try that? And I'm curious about the savory oatmeals, too. And savory granola.. mmmmmm. Now I'm hungry.

I don't have your size problem, but I do hate an ill-fitting bra. This site has a great return policy and might have what you are looking for (and the name - bounce - makes me laugh). http://bounce.titlenine.com/ I'm not associated with them. Good luck.

Although not an athletic shoe, for work I swear by dansko clogs. Also don't neglect stretching your plantar and your calves. Adding stretches to my evening routine eliminated my foot pain.

I know that for me, stress triggers eating. That and boredom. What if you didn't stay home in the evening, and instead developed a new routine? Perhaps a trip to the library or meeting friends for bowling would get you out of reach of the snacks at home. I also find that by not stocking snack food at home, I tend to eat…

So interesting to see the diverse goals - and so many that seem (to me) realisitic. Way to go, women! I'm 5'3, and in my early 50s. I joined MFP when my weight hit 140, and I'm down to 131 (size 8 pants), and would love to return to my wedding weight of 125, and a size 6 pants. Just 6 lbs shouldn't be difficult, right? But…

I'm on day 16, the 5th day of level 2. I had to eliminate weights on one strengthening exercise - in circuit 3 - as even Motrin didn't solve the back pain issue. Starting level 2 was like beginning level 1 - it totally kicked my butt. Enjoy people!

I looked at other people's records, using HRM, and log it at about 280 calories.

You are looking great. And Its wonderful that both your pictures have the same outfit. Keep it going!

celery sticks, my friend. Digesting them burns more calories than they contain (that is, unless you've put peanut butter or nutella on them!). Good luck.

I have wii active, and I sort-of love it. The problem is that sometimes it doesn't register the wimote, leading to prolonged waits. I also find trying to hold the wii-mote and the elastic band at the same time to be difficult. Wii sports resort is fun, and wii fit. For me, the trick is to come up with a routine where you…

I just try to boost my protein a bit. I also try to not eat the calories that I burn. But the work out isn't so strenuous that, in my opinion, it should require changing your diet (assuming you eat healthy foods, which it sounds like you do).

I am 5'3", 53 yrs old. I started at 140 and am down to about 131 (4 months with MFP). My goal is to reach 125, and maybe less. Agree with all the others - would rather weigh a few lbs more with muscle than be a few lbs less but no tone. Good luck all - you youngsters are wise to take the weight off while you are still…

A tomato sandwich, open face, tiny amt of fat-free mayo.

Day 3 of the shred, my first time through.
-
I just started the 30-day shred (I'm on day 3). I love how quick it is (~25 minutes), and I think it might work with my schedule even when my kids start school next week. Its also tough - I'm sore but in a very good way. It is also flexible - Jillian shows easier and harder versions of my of the moves. I'm going to try to…

I'm only to day 2 of the shred. I own 2, 3, and 5 lb weights, and for me, its all I can do to use the 2 and 3 lb weights (depending on the exercise).

excellent! Give yourself a big hug - you deserve it.

I, too, find 1200 calories a day challenging. But I take two walks a day at work, and walk actively - this helps me to be able to add another 200-300 calories a day to the "eat" column. I try to save those extras for the time I most relish eating - typically at home in the evening. I also am trying to bring bags of celery…

I teach both cell biology and developmental biology. My body -- as an experiment?

I have been wondering the same thing! I'm not nearly as ambitious/athletic as you, but I want those exercise calories to go to weight loss, and not consume them. So I guess the question (for me) boils down to - How do those exercise calories figure into the "activate starvation mode" metabolism?

1 egg (fried), fresh from my Buff Orpington (hen), and 1 hard roll. And about 3 cups of black coffee.

I love skim milk. Anything with fat, even the 1%, just tastes too thick to me. But my daughter craves whole milk, and I do sometimes buy it for her.
