Yesterday I played kinect adventures for 30 minutes, and did the same today. So that is 2 days of activity out of 7 days. Plus I am working tonight- so chances are I will be walking laps around my area in the store. Gotta love retail! I usually don't count that but I do walk anywhere from 1-3 hours in a 6 hour shift…

I like it! And yes it is very good advice. I may have to keep that one for future use:wink:

I just found this thread... is it too late to start. I know I am 6 days behind, but that just means that I won't have as many "rest" days. Planned on starting a work out routine where I will only have like one rest day a week anyways  Technically, I am only 5 days behind... I still have all day to day to get…

I am just under 5'3" and right now between 202 and 208. My goal is to ultimately be around 150- 160 and toned. I am afraid if I weigh any less than that I would look too skinny, but we will see. I would love to hit that goal around year's end. I think by June, I would like to be around 180ish.

I think it is pretty funny.

My favorite snack right now is califlower with dean's french onion dip. 2 servings is 170 calories. You get a little of both worlds with it. I haven't tried the light french onion dip yet, but that is my next venture when i go to the store.

Hit the gym early in the day if possible to have extra calories for later enjoyment?? Not sure if that is a good way to go about it or not.

Good job!! You are looking fantastic. Keep it up!

There are too many... [/quote] This. But mainly ice cream and cookies. I have gotten pretty good at the self talk and telling myself that I only need one serving of most foods.

Right now I am, but my exercise is limited to walking (I don't even think I can jog right now) Because I am still recovering from a surgery. If you are sticking to your calorie goal (or are under it), MFP already puts you at a deficit, so you will continue to lose some weight without exercising.

Everyone has made a great point... You have done it before. So, you know that you can do it. You just have to keep logging and counting those calories, and don't forget to exercise. While it took the unfortunate event of gaining the weight back, it seems to me that it was a good reminder to you of what you need to do! You…

This is a very good point! When I get discouraged, I usually exercise. That is what gets me out of my funks. Plus, I remember how as a kid/teen, I could do almost anything physically (except for pull ups). I recently got a bicycle, and could barely ride it for 5 minutes. That is a huge motivator, too. I want to be able to…

Agreed!! Add cheese in there, too.

That is great! I am excited for you!! Always celebrate the victories- no matter how small.

Welcome! I really like my sleep so I used to wake up about 20-30 mins before I had to leave for work. That was enough time to actually get my mind ready for the day and to take a quick shower. I used to never eat breakfast. Now I try to wake up about 2 to 2 and a half hours earlier so that I can get in a work out (when I…

Congrats!!!! That is awesome!!!!

That is amazing!! Congrats on reaching your goal early. It just shows what hard work and dedication can do! Very inspiring!

I would take a rest day if you are hurting that badly. Your muscles probably need time to rest/ heal from the workout.

That is pretty much my one vice, but I don't eat it very often. That is one of my treats when I feel like having a cheat day. I just log the calories and go on about my evening when I do eat it.

Love this! And it's so true Sometimes you just have to be selfish and think about yourself. One of 2 things will happen, he will see your determination and success, and decide to join you, or he will see your determination and success, and decide to keep his habits. You can't control him and what he puts in his body, but…

I agree with everyone else. You are human, and life happens. Just jump back in and don't be so hard on yourself. What's done can't be undone, but you can control what you do the rest of today and tomorrow.

When will the group start? Will it be a monthly challenge thing? Right now I can't run- might be down for another 4 weeks due to recovery from surgery. However, when I am completely healed and allowed to do normal activity, I am looking to start the couch to 5k program. Before the surgery, I could barely run/jog for 1 min…

Stomach is flatter- below belly button. Don't get discouraged. You are doing a great job!

Nice!! Keep up the good work! It's not about making all the changes at once- I think that is very self destructive. But if you are taking smaller, more manageable steps and can see a difference in the choices you are making- you are successful. Good luck!

I'm 5'2" and currently at 210. At my heaviest I was around 220-225. My goal is the upper limit of my BMI, which is around 140-145. I think I would be happy if I hit 150-160. A lot of people would not guess that I weigh so much, so I am thinking that 140-145 might be too thin or I might be unable to maintain it. As others…

I think that having a day to over indulge once in a while is healthy. I think that if you had the desire to begin the journey in the first place, you have the will power to continue even if you over ate for one day. I think you will be fine if you do go back to your normal routine.

Oh wow!!! Great job!!!

I think you have done an amazing job! Personally, I can't stand the whole BMI tool just because it doesn't take into account frame type. I would rather go with percentage of body fat than that, but I guess BMI is the standard. Instead of focusing on that, look at your accomplishments, and how much healthier you are. Look…
