We don't get the Monday holiday in NL because on Wed (Aug 7th) we have our local Regatta - closes the city. So we get one, not both.

All good advice....take it slow starting out, cross that finish line (the feeling is awesome), walk if you have to..etc.. The best piece of advice I've ever gotten and I want to pass along to you is......HAVE FUN! Good Luck on Sunday....

The day before any of my halfs I carb load a little....and have a nice pasta dinner. Nothing too crazy as you don't want any surprises before or during the race. Depends if they're currently a runner or not. If not, then I'd say walk it, if they still want to do the half. If a runner, depends on the level. Did they just start running or are the seasoned? It takes a lot of training to run a half. Generally, the last week is a taper week, so all you're left with is 2 weeks to train.…
