Please dont' give up. The jorney may be difficult at time, but it is well worth the trip. It will be awesome when you get to where you want to be. So don't stop now. You can do this. Friend me if you'd like. I'm on here each and every day.

I got some great shirts at Footlocker. They made from bamboo. Do a great job. Not a bad price - $45 = tax for two (I got a BOGO 1/2).

Don't worry about what others will think. You're doing this for you, not anyone else, so what does it matter what they think. Just believe in yourself and do this for you. Feel free to add me if you'd like. And welcome to the wonderful world of running.

Congrats! You did a great job. And I toally agree with your list. I know the feeling you are experiencing as well. I did my first hafl in Sept/2012. And that feeling is awesome. You feel so empowered, like you can conquer anything.

This! With my first half, the weekend before I just ran 8 miles (not the recommended 12) and I think I ran better in my half because I didn't overtax my legs or my body before the race. Like you said, you know you can run the race, so don't worry about if you do 12 or 10 or 8 miles the weekend before. Running those extra…

I never count my warm up or cool down...just count the calories burned during the workout itself.

From Oct 1st to today (Oct 28th) I have either ran or biked a total of 262.76 miles. I can't believe that I have gone that far and I still have 3 days left. And I haven't included all the walking I do...I walk our Lab 3 times a day. So maybe I'll hit 300 miles before the end of the month. :smile:

Great plan Brian. I'll have another Half coming up in May 2013....so maybe I can use another Hal schedule and adjust accordingly. And thanks everyone for your advice. It's greatly appreciated. :smile:

You might as well count me in too...for 10 miles. I have a Hypo Half coming up in Jan (I think) and it will be good prep. Good Luck to everyone!! :smile:
