Congrats!!!

Maybe it would be worth working out twice after a night of drinking? Once to burn off the acetate and then again to actually metabolize carbs and fat? Though I remember a trainer once telling me it would be hard to burn off all of the acetate from drinking in one work out session. He also said you can "cheat" and go to a…

I'm 5'3 SW: 195 GW: 141-145 One important thing to consider is your "fat free mass" - that is - how much your muscle, bones, and organs weigh. I recently had mine tested (at a gym w/ fancy machine) and found out that my fat free mass is 115. That means, if my weight got down to 115-125 or so, I would be dead or dying - or…

I went to my cousin's wedding which had an open bar and I didn't drink! Saved lots of calories and it paid off on the scale that week.

My trainer recently told me that the problem with drinking alcohol is not just the calories in the drinks (b/c you can cut some out from your food) - but when you drink, it can take your body up to 8 hours to get just one drink out of your system - in the meantime, your body cannot burn any fat, etc - so just 3 drinks…

I JUST read an article on that bra and am super curious to try it! Sounds like it works well
-
What sport's bra are you referring to when you say it isn't the best? And what brand would you recommend?
-
Yes! I know the feeling of having to hold them with your hand! I have to do that when I'm working at a desk for too long too b/c my neck starts to hurt. And yeah - I think women below a certain size do not have the kind of heavy thumping feeling that pulls on the ligaments when they run....
-
Yeah- the shock absorber is an investment - i had to save $$ and waited for a friend to buy it first and give me a review. Cheaper than a reduction tho...and it is well made so I'm thinking it should last for a while.
-
Yes - It makes me feel like I'm at some kind of burlesque show gone wrong... I like the idea of a compression top!
-
That is a good idea! Still get the leg work out... Awesome that you are a fitness teacher btw!
-
I appreciate everyone's posts!!! So glad I'm not the only one who feels physically and emotionally uncomfortable with jumping jacks!!! [ and if I COULD find someone to hold them during the workout that would probably actually help =) I like the idea of an underwire bra under a sport's bra! The bra that I recently purchased…

you look great! what weight are u at now?
-
Wow - Way to stick with it and inspire me to do the same!

I gained weight on depo as well - and it made me moody. It made my boobs grow an extra size and since I was already a DD then, I didnt need to...even when I lost weight after getting off of depo, my boobs kinda stayed the same. Its some crazy sh*&

This is really inspiring. Just being patient and sticking with it. Wow! awesomeness. Its so cool that you've sustained motivation for the long haul.
-
Um - Cheerleaders DO matter! A number of studies have found that people who have friends also trying to lose weight and supporting each other lose more weight - they are able to stick healthy eating better than those that do it solo: http://www.rd.com/health/diet-weight-loss/the-best-way-to-lose-weight/ One example:…

I can really relate to the love of the drink. I have gained 50 pounds post law school and I think alcohol has a tremendous role in that. I recently started learning about how our body metabolizes alcohol and was surprised to discover that not only does alcohol have a ton of extra calories (duh - we all know that), but…
