MFP Won't Set My Goal at More than 1.4 Pounds a Week..

Hi MFPers - I would like to aim for a a 2 lb per week weight loss and would like my MFP "Daily Calorie" Target to reflect that. However, no matter what numbers I change in the "goal" settings, MFP keeps saying that my projected weight loss is 1.4 lbs per month.

Has anyone else had this problem? I have my setting at "sedentary" - so may be the system things its impossible for me to lose 2 lbs healthily?

Perhaps I should just use another site to calculate my TDEE and go with that goal...

Thanks!

If you're short and sedentary, a 2 lb loss per week would probably put your daily calorie intake under 1200, which MFP doesn't allow.

    what Arrabindi said.

Plus - a higher weight loss per week can be unsustainable - it really is only for those with a lot to lose

MFP won't tell you the calorie goal, but you can put it in manually. If it is something you really want to try, a lot of people here will discourage hat, but it is an option.

This... if you dont have too much to lose, 1lb a week is a much more realistic goal anyway.
