Spinach, radicchio, and/or red leaf lettuce, mixed with some "salad" veggies - onions, cucumbers, celery, carrots, peppers, tomatoes - whatever you like. Another yummy lettuce that I haven't had in years (due to not being able to find at a reasonable price) is Boston lettuce. Mix some sugar, vinegar, and oil, then drizzle…

I was similarly dealing with high stress situations, and finally (after three weeks) was able to go workout. The result - it gave me the opportunity to relieve that stress in a healthy way instead of taking it out on others around me. Still dealing with the stress, but now am marking in my workouts so that I can relieve…

I agree - confront her. One question though - you stated you don't know her name at all. Does she pay with either a check or a credit card? Or does she always pay in cash? If it's the first one, maybe pull records of payment history (even if your store doesn't have it on file, you should be able to access the info through…

Bobby McFerrin - Don't Worry, Be Happy I can't not be happy listening to that song! :glasses: Oh - and for different reasons - 18 and Life by Skid Row.

I was going off of the initial page - not going to sift through several pages.

OP - please explain to me how beef jerky, peanut butter, wraps, and beer occur naturally....until you are eating nothing processed, don't belittle what others are eating.

I'd suggest with starting with foods/meals you like, and looking at ways to adjust them (i.e. cutting fats, calories, adding veggies/fruits). For example, I have a fairly basic recipe for meatloaf I've used for a number of years, but changed up the type of meat (only a portion now of ground beef, the rest is ground turkey,…

I was thinking the same thing!

I'll add you as well! While I am working towards a more consistent healthier lifestyle, I am not a clean eater, nor will I ever (at this point anyhow) attain to be one. I enjoy chocolate, fast food, ice cream, soda, pizza, etc....but I also like fruits, veggies, and whole grains. And an occasional drink doesn't kill my…

My daughter just started school, and her lunch box daily consists of the following - sandwich (either PB&J or meat & cheese) yogurt or go-gurt applesauce, fruit cup, piece of fruit, or pudding (she mostly chooses the applesauce or fruit) juice box or pouch (occasionally she will take money with to get milk instead) some…

I recently was on a trip alone with my hubby, and had 2 drinks over the weekend. Previous to that, the last drink had been my birthday weekend the prior month, and had 3 over the weekend. So right now, no alcohol, but for special occasions, yes. But even those are no more than 2 per event.

I was on Depo for a year, and the first couple of days after each injection my husband said I became a raging lunatic (and I completely blacked out the first day after the shots as well). I was SOOOO glad to get off of that! After that I had gone back to Ortho, and eventually didn't need any, due to a hysterectomy in March…

^^This^^ My 5 year old daughter will on occasion come grocery shopping with me, and I do ask her input on different things, as there are certain foods I cannot have (due to medical issues, not avoidance). Last night for example, we went to the store and there was a special on squash. Both she and my husband like butternut…

I'd certainly be questioning what prompted a $5 an hour raise after only 2 weeks. And no, I wouldn't be oblivious of the gestures only be niceties. Yes, I have had employers who were nice and allowed me time off for personal matters, however, unless I had already earned that time off, it was unpaid leave.

Are you salaried or paid hourly? If salaried, you work WHATEVER hours are needed to complete the job - I know this from my husband, who sometimes is working from home at all hours of the night and weekend. If you are paid hourly, that should have been pay that was time and a half. And I'm sorry, but unless your starting…

I've been hitting GW for interim clothes, and also scan the deeply discounted sales racks at other stores. I also have looked at rummage sales for clothing too. I look for stains, tears, thin spots right there, and if none are present, will get them (I also use this tactic at GW and other stores). And if there's something…

Sadly, I flew out the door this AM with everything in hand, except my lunch. So I walked to Subway, got myself an oven roasted chicken salad, with a bit of mozzarella and sweet onion sauce. Lots of spinach and green peppers, and some red onion and cucumbers in there too. Delicious, and though higher in sodium than I had…
