  • I like the Green Giant Antioxidant blend of vegetables (broccoli, carrots, peppers) which is only 100 for the full box. I add 3 oz of chicken breasts and you are still under 300 calories. You could even have a cup of popcorn later..
  • I believe most people who carry a bottle of water all day are sipping. How many bottles of water do you sip per day? I set goals.. it takes me 30 minutes to get to work in the morning.. I guzzle down a 20 oz bottle during that drive. I set a goal to try to drink (sipping) a 20 oz bottle during the work day.. I never finish…
  • There are so many ways to give incentives. Why not a genuine compliment? I am sure candy as an incentive goes against (coughs) Michelle Obama's healthier menus offered in schools. I would be confrontational to that teacher and tell her NO. And I would go so far as to call other parents. My dh and I never allowed our…
  • Having had that problem for many years, it got better as I got older. I would wear maxi-pads when I played volleyball (whole lot of jumping going on there), change them a couple of times during the games. I would wear the adult diapers when I played softball. The problem decreased as I aged. Only issue now is when I have…
  • Practically all your fresh fruits and veggies contain fiber. Wheat cereals and oatmeal contain fiber. Why not set fiber as one of your settings on your "diary settings." That way you can determine if you are getting enough.
  • Chock-full of protein, eggs are a quick and easy way to get protein any time of the day. From omelets in the morning to quiche at night, you may be shying away from the yolks to save calories and cholesterol. The yolk may contain all the fat, but it also contains most of the vitamins and nutrients. The yolks are where it's…
  • I use 1 egg white with 1 whole egg for omelets, scrambled eggs. My husband, who use to be a bodybuilder, would eat about 10 eggs each morning. He was asked to participate in a study done by Washington University between runners and weight lifters. He had 0, yes zero, body fat, healthy cholesterol levels. (this was done…
  • Chew gum! I find that "IceBreakers" helps me to get over those cravings or the desire to finish it all.
  • Have any of you tried solid white albacore tuna (packed in water) with 1 tablespoon light mayo, tossing in about 3/4 cup shredded lettuce? Slice an apple and use as you would crackers. Bite of tuna salad with a bite of the apple.. to me.. is delish!
  • Dr Oz has a product to SELL! Simple. Remember there were other products before Raspberry Ketones that he was selling. Acai berry was one and where is that now?
  • Feell free to add me as well.
  • If you are concerned about the supermarket variety, google how to grow your own. Read up on the sources of E coli as well. Like salmonella, cleanliness is one way to preventing the bacterium.
  • Treadmill is low impact for those who have bad kness and can't run and is better than no exercise at all.
  • I like that "mince their words." What is motivating if we don't scold somewhat? I make bad food choices and would not mind if a friend says.. no no no, lay the guilt on. I have had one side of thyroid removed (they saved the other side for later, you know repeat business lol) Feel free to add me.
  • Is round a body type?
  • Just google low calorie meals. I have a fantastic recipe book, Better Homes and Gardens New Dieters Cookbook, which has a lot of the calorie counts right here on MFP. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/nutrition-facts-calories/better-homes-and-gardens-new-dieters-cookbook

  • How do you post pics?
  • If you are not hungry why force it?
  • Target has the food scales for under $10. Weighing and measuring is very important.
  • Ladies, you can all do this! Just remember to count the calories, weigh and measure your portions and plan your meals in advance. I find it fun to do those things. Speaking of planning, I have to do my meals for tomorrow.
  • Quaker old fashioned oats, 1/2 cup dry makes 1 cup of cereal, top off with 1/2 cup raspberries, 1 teas sugar and 1/2 teaspoons of cinnamon = 200 calories Breakstone's cottage cheese doubles with pineapple, nature's own whole wheat thin sliced bagel topped with laughing cow cinnamon cheese = 287 calories Weight watchers…
  • Alternate days with him. When my husband worked out at the gym, he only went on alternate days. On your off days from the gym, take the children to the park, run and play with them.
  • I am 68 and love the food dairy. If we can support each other together, then please add me as a friend.
  • Try a stool softener. I have constant problems and use Dulcolax stool softener. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water.
