  • Wow, lots of Appleton/Green Bay folks! I lived over there for many years, and spent many more before that in NW Wisconsin. Now I am stuck in Minnesota. Silly me bought a house and have been waiting YEARS to sell it and move away from here!
  • Thanks for asking this. I have been wondering the same thing. :flowerforyou:
  • I am a huge Jillian Michaels fan but I don't know what she was thinking with Shed and Shred. I wish I hadn't wasted the $10 on it. I like to switch between No More Trouble Zones and Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism. I toss in Ripped in 30, Killer Buns and Thighs, and Shred it with weights. Good luck with your choice. Amazon…
  • I learned awhile back that life is too short and if I don't like something I don't do it. I stopped going to a few family get-togethers. Yeah I probably hurt some feelings but they will get over it. I wasn't spending even a day with some of my relatives. You know what? I am happier for it. Give it a try. Stop thinking…
  • I am not picky. I accept all requests I get, but if the person doesn't log in after a month I delete them. I am always on the lookout for people who are motivational, inspirational, and committed. I have been on here over a year and I couldn't have done it without my MPF friends.
  • Yes many times. When I was 240 pounds I didn't think I was fat until I saw vacation photos. I cried for days. Then I started losing weight. It took me years of trying different things to get where I am at. I am still not where I want to be - I have another 30 pounds to lose, but I can finally look at a picture of myself…
  • I haven't lost weight in about 2 months, so don't feel bad! :)
  • I need to send in data in a few hours. I need info for all week for Sandysloseinit (plus weight) and I need Rrubio10's data for today. I downloaded the spreadsheet and am sending it in at 4:30 central time. If I don't have your data by then you will need to send it it. Thanks. :) Robin
  • I'd be happy to have another person in my support group. It is amazing how much it helps! :) You can add me if you want.
  • I suffer from Raynauds Syndrome in my feet so if they get even a little cold it is bad. Once it gets below 40 degrees I stay inside and use my treadmill.
  • Hello! Born and raised in Northwestern Wisconsin (Go Pack!) and now live in Prior Lake, MN. It is that time of year where I will start asking myself why I live in MN since I hate the snow.
  • Just want to make sure I got it all since I missed the first week. I need to do the veggies, the jumping jacks, and the 21's. It sounds like I need to add in 100 oz of water a day, pushups, and walking? Or was that last week? Sorry for the confusion, just want to make sure I am getting it all done. :) And next Thursday I…
  • Hello! Thanks for letting me join your team. :flowerforyou: My name is Robin. I have a daughter who is a sophomore in college, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a loving husband. I like to go hiking, boating, camping, fishing. While hibernating in the winter I enjoy watching movies, reading books, and sewing. This winter I am teaching…
  • I LOVE my foodsaver. It is really old, I have had it for probably 8-10 years - got it as a gift. It is a very basic model but still works great. I keep saying I want a new one with the instant seal button but I won't buy one until this one dies. I buy family packs of meat and break it down before foodsaving. A word of…
  • They both help but for some reason they need someone to tell them what to do or they don't "see" anything that needs to be done. After all the years we have been together I gave up trying to change him and just steer him in the right direction.
  • Thanks everyone. I checked out a few of the gyms around here but they were expensive - and full of thin and athletic people. I don't like anyone seeing me work out - that is part of my problem. Our family room has the only TV and is open to our entire lower level so there isn't even a door to shut. :) I tried to work out…
  • I will start by saying I hate exercise yet I do it at least 5 times a week. The first 7 months of my journey I did not exercise. I lost 20 pounds and was feeling excited. Then I hit a plateau and figured it was time to start. I started with the 30 day shred and while I didn't lose any weight I went from size 18/20 pants to…
  • I found that if I want a snack I make myself drink a glass of water. Then I try to find something to do because I must be bored. If I drink the water and still want the snack to the point where it is all I can think about I eat it and then make myself get on the treadmill to burn the calories. Best advice: keep the snacks…
  • I would say if you have already been working out go with No More Trouble Zones and Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism. I found after doing the Shred and Ripped in 30 I needed something longer. These are both about 50 minutes and have most of the same moves but with a lot more added in. I saw more results with these 2 than the 30…
  • I had a great pair of nikes and then after I lost weight I have actually went down 1/2 size in shoes and they don't fit me any longer. I am going to try new balance next. Everyone seems to really like them.
  • Glad to know I am not alone. :) I will push through but it isn't easy! My husband lost all of his weight through diet alone and is at his ideal weight. My daughter has always been thin (lucky her!) so she doesn't get it. Thanks everyone! I will have to just annoy them and please me I guess.
  • I loved it! I am doing it again. I dread week 2 with the 2 minutes of cardio in plank. Ugh. I didn't lose any weight but lost inches galore! Went down almost 2 pants sizes which is way better than weight loss to me!
  • I credit the Shred for getting me into the habit. I am working on Ripped in 30 and Killer Buns and Thighs as well. I got No More Trouble Zones which is like a combination of the 3 and is almost 50 minutes. I have seen much more results with that one than the others. Congrats for making it! Keep it up and you will see the…
  • I would do the opposite. If you want a permanent job, annoying the boss will most likely get you let go. I would try really hard to be quiet and work my butt off. I have had to share offices before - with more than one person at the same time. Sometimes we have to do that because it is all there is. Try to be pleasant and…
  • I didn't exercise for the first 6 months. I lost about 12 pounds and realized that to lose more I had to exercise. I have noticed with exercise that even when I don't lose off the scale I lose inches and my clothes are too big. I never had that happen when I was just watching my diet.
  • Me! My family loves having cook-outs, pizza nights, chips, adult beverages, etc EVERY weekend. My husband is at his goal weight and seems to forget that I have zero will-power for these things. I can not sit and watch him eat it! It drives me crazy. :grumble:
  • If you are handy with a needle or sewing machine you could probably make a cover for a sandbag out of vinyl. I use duct tape for lots of things. You could always go over it with electrical tape if you are worried about the stickiness.
  • Add me as a friend if you want. I find it really helps to have people to interact with. :flowerforyou:
  • Sounds like fun! I have only been to a few of the cities you listed, but be sure to try some of the local foods. They won't be the best for you, but it is vacation! I love the food in New Orleans. I went there for a week earlier this year and with all the walking around I actually lost weight - even though I was eating…
