Took this photo yesterday. I had just done a lunchtime run was having a rush of endorphins - plus I was bored of my previous profile pic.

Jaccyber - my current shoes have a shamefully low mileage. I got them mid May and they are fairly non descript GEL 2160 . Comfortable but not amazing. My work colleague that runs with me just bought a pair of kayano's and swears that they make her run faster. But they are particularly unattractive so I don't really want a…

According to the dude that wrote "You are your own gym" push ups are far superior as the push up develops strength for day to day activities while the bench press does not.

Definitely not.

Hope you have a great week too Randy. Week 4 Day2 is done and dusted. I had a great run. Nothing hurt and I didn't have to convince myself to keep running. It probably helped that I had two fast runnerson the treadmills on either side of me and I didn't want to shame myself. It also helped that my ipod was choosing me…

Awesome Jaacyber. I did W4 D1 today as well and it was a good run. Slowed my pace on the runs and it was all perfectedly managable. Not sure of my exact distance due to a slight mishap on the treadmill were I reset it half way through when I had to rescue my ipod which I had sent flying due to overly vigorous arm movements.

Today I am reading "You are your own Gym: The bible of bodyweight exercises" by Mark Lauren. Quite a few similarities so far to New RUles for Lifting..

I find that generally DP is generally true to size - but if you have big norks I would go up a size. They have some lovely dresses in stock at the moment. I bought some stuff just a few days ago. Re postage costs. I am in Australia and find the postage is cheaper than getting something shipped from the US.

I just finished the Molly Fyde series as well. I read Wool by Hugh Howey and it was so good I was compelled to read everything he had written. I am now reading First Confessor by Terry Goodkind. I am not loving it at the moment. I would rather poke my eyes out with a blunt stick than read the Fifty Shades of Tripe series.

Good to know it is not such an out there idea. People at my work today spent the day mocking the very idea - and also the likely outcome of me knowing how to pole dance and the next after work drinks situation. I'm quite looking forward to it now though I can't start lessons until August.

Welldone Randy, Jaccyber and Riskay. Did W3D3 again today as I had a look a Week 4 and didn't feel mentailly prepared for it (my smallest child has come down with glandular fever this week and is unwell and I had to start a formal performance management plan for a numpty that I manage at work). A particularly average run.…

Thats funny - the Perth C2S has a heartbreak hill as well. Another training session under my belt. My work pays for entry fee and provides a t-shirt along with a hospitality tent at the end. It is funny as my partner also is doing the c2S and has done even less training then me and plans to run it all (we shall see). At…

Thanks for the feedback. My greatest fear is probably that is will be in a class full of twenty something year olds which will make me feel ancient.

I'm an indoor runner at the moment for convenience reasons mostly. I have a brand new gym in my building so I can pop in during my lunch hour, put in my 30 minutes on the treadmill then go have a shower than go back to work and have a highly productive afternoon. I try to run on a gradient so when I do make the transition…

I did W3 D3 today. I was meant to do W3D2 but I am a complete goose and pressed the wrong button on my app. I didn't realise until I got to the end and went to tick it off as complete. All in all a good run. I think my form is good and my pace is quite good. That 12km at the end of August isn't as scary as it once was.

If you don't make a payment today we will commence repossession proceedings. It is for some dude called Nathan who I definitely am not (and the only thing I owe money on is my mortgage). I get these repeatedly and they always freak me out thinking that perhaps I have taken out of a car loan in the name of someone else…

Yay - passed both tests. Pretty pleased with my 40yo bod.

I am doing the Perth City to Surf which is end of August. I was just going to walk the 12km course but have been pressured into running some of it by my work colleagues so I started the c25k 3 weeks ago. Hopefully I will be able run at least half of it. Slightly panicing about it all but it is good to have a goal to work…

W3D1 complete. It was a good session, especially compared to last week's horror session. I was even capable of walking around normally post run instead of hobbling around. I really feel like progress is being made.

I did W2 D3 in my lunch hour today. It hurt so bad but I saw it through. The running bits aren't so bad - it is the walking that is killing me at the moment. All the fit people are the gym were smirking at me after I stagggered off the dreadmill looking like I was about to die. My calves where agony afterwards but I…

My company is involved in the Global Corporate Challenge. It also refunds you $300 per year on your gym membership. There are two big fun runs in my town and mywork will ;pay you and family members entry fee, along with a company tshirt to participate in along with a refreshment tent at the end. I have signed up for a 12km…

I think it is quite good but is a pain having to wave your arms about to move onto the next set or to repeat a challenge. I actually prefer get fit with Mel B (or something with a similar title). You actually can get a decent length workout without having to confirm constantly.

1. What Week/Day are you on? Week 2 Day 2 done today 2. How do you feel? Good run today. I pushed myself quite hard by setting the treadmill to incline to make it more like outside. Calves are agony at the moment. Just foam rollered them so hopefully no hobbling tomorrow. 3. Have you had to repeat a week or day? Not yet…

I have it for the Kinect and hate it as you really need to match the moves of the person on the screen. It makes me feel uncoordinated and a failure. I much prefer the dancing type games or the actual fitness programs. The biggest downside of the kinect games is you get your shape on screen and if you are anything like me…

I just finished Wool by Hugh Howey. Best book I have read in ages in the dystopia genre. I am how working my way through Hugh Howey's other works. Luckily they are very cheap to buy from the ebook store on Amazon. After I finished with Mr Howey's writings I have World War Z and Riddley Walker lined up.

21 years. Getting married next year in March. It will be a huuuge party - and no need to worry about people telling us it is not about the day it is the rest of your life. In our case it is the day as we already have the life. My 18 year old daughter is my bridesmaid. My 6 year old daughter is the flower girl and my 13…

Oh I remembered stats today. Distance 3.6km Walking pace 6 km per hour Running pace 8 km per hour Calories burnt 200 Rubbish songs endured: 4 Rocking tunes: 5

Why don't you try a challenge like Dry July as motivation for not drinking for a month. It is not long and will help see if alcohol really is helping you get to sleep. I have always suffered from insomnia and love a glass or 3 of wine. I don't think alcohol is great for inducing a great sleep cycle really as I know that…

Doing the 30 Day Shred didn't deliver amazing results on the scale for me- but delivered a huge difference to my body and more importantly converted me to loving doing daily exercise. Before the shred I pretty much hated any form of exercise and now I feel lost if I haven't done something challenging to my body everyday.

Thats so true.. My kids always drag me to the nocturnal house which stinks and appears to be full of endangered species of rats. I am going on Saturday with my daughter - I am super excited for the step count on my pedometer.
