I like the Champion one I got at Target for about $20 ...Canadian....but whatever it's "cheap". It's really funny listen to all the Canadians expecting the same prices at Target Canada as in Target US. It's a whole other market down there. All your stuff is just cheaper. The same thing happened when Winners came up here.…

I heart my Ninja. It destroys everything that gets in its path. I just with the container wasn't made of plastic though. I dropped it and a leg broke off. It still works.

Before you just start upping i recommend doing a full metabolism recovery . Stop dieting and eat at TDEe for a little while while doing strengh and hiit . Youll put on a litle muscle and maybe some fat but then when you cut to TDEE-20% youll be eating even more than 1500 nurishing your workous and busting rough that fat…

I've tried Meltdown, Ripped Freak, and Body Logix in the past but I wasn't tracking my measurements that well to notice any real impact. Needless to say, what ever fat loss impact it had was not obvious. Sometimes I felt a little slimmer but that might have been water. What I did notice was a reduction in appetite and more…

You dont find time you make it. When in school theres always the pressure that every minute should be spent studying but this kind of stress is counter productive . Stop srudying for an hour to focus on your health and reset your brain. You'll perform better at everything you do. I made time to work out and came back to…

This reminds me of the concept of cheat meals/days. Cheat meals are a great way to keep form feeling deprived and to de-stress but they must be cheat MEALS not entire cheat days. An entire cheat day or cheat weekend is just too much for your nutrition and your body will just store the excess as fat. Even planning for an…

No less than BMR plus formal exercise. Have you been going up and down in weight, eating 1100 then "stop dieting" and gain it back? Do you have to cut more and more every time you try to lose weight? Have you been doing that for a long time? I ask all this because I got sick of going up and down for the past 15 years…

The older fatter me was actually fatter because I was eating too LITTLE. So I hate that I was so ignorant in a constant state of low-cal binge for the past 15 years. EM2WL saved my bod.
-
I have a BodyMedia band that measures my TDEE. Which is pretty close to the "Scooby" website that EM2WL always shows up. I think I'm going to start to try to cut at 2000 and see what happens :)

For someone who had been struggling around 12, 14, 1600 cals for years eating at 22-2400 cals seemed like a great resest for me. I have been able to maintain size and really boost my workouts around that levels for a few months. However, my TDEE is really 2400 rest or 2800-3000 on a workout day. I have not yet brought…

While im a big supporter of weightlifting cardio does help the heart and eating more will get you mote nutrients. But definitely, strength training will help you reshape your bod burn more fat and stay stonger :-) excessive cardio is a waste of time unless indeed you just enjoy it! Many people are even undereating and…

Tell me about it. Why have your cell phone in the gym? Clearly they don't have their priorities straight. They'll likely disappear after their resolutions wear off.

Females have more bulk in their legs and if they work them out could build more muscle there. Squats however also take some upper body strength and your guy pals may get you there. ... they probably can do a lot more upper body stuff than you.

LOL NO. I only weigh once a month right after the TOM. There are too many fluctuations. Take your measurements in inches/cm :)

Fasting = rebelious metabolism that wants to store fat = crazy cravings = not worth your suffering.

The less prepared and full of artificial flavours the better. Get a simple whey protein without carageenan and artificial flavours and blend it up with fruit, coconut/nut oil and even sometime like oats or chia seeds to make a well rounded to-go breakfast. Protein+complex carb+oil = great meal replacement shake. Whey looks…

Looking swvelt! Good luck on the maintainance. Sometimes metabolisms rebel and you may have to do a "metabolism recovery" :) Be consistent and hold onto your new habits!

You'll wreak havoc on your metabolism and drive more cravings if you do it all at once. Juat keep looking forward and be god for a whole week. ... if it's hard to stay in goal check out Eat More to Weigh Less and recover your metabolism. The 2000 cal life is not a myth.

Conversations flow naturally and people can react how ever they want.
-
Yeah it works, but the point is that you don't have to "suffer" and starve your body and deprive it of nutrients (you cannot hit your nutrients with 1200 cals). I'm not going to try to convince you, people often have to come through this on their own. And if it's working for you, why would you stop? Losing weight can feel…

The key is to make sure that those carbs you choose are complex carbs: produce and whole grains. White refined crap is what keeps the weight on the appetite out of control. Body building ratios tend to have lower carbs, but enough carbs to keep you energized and nurished. They typically say from 35-45% of calories should…

I think it's a great idea to open up and share and expose yourself to criticism: otherwise why are you hear if you don't want to learn anything?! But it's no surprise that's it's a sensitive issue for many people and most people can't handle criticism.
-
Based on what I read, you're pretty maxed out for time spent in the gym. And it's good you've added strength training to a heavy cardio work out. Try to mix up the type of cardio you do so your body doesn't adapt. Also, steady state cardio will break down your muscle growth, so mix it up with some interval training, HIIT,…

"I'm scared others don't think so". While the judgments of other undoubtedly weight heavily on us, they are not the best motivator for long term success. You will NEVER please everyone. The only person you have control over is how you please yourself. And even if you did please everyone, and you yourself were not…

You're off to a great start with some good at-home workouts. Check out Oxygen magazine (look online too) for great at home workouts :)
-
You mean keeping your metabolism up by eating regularly and exercising? Sure! It's the only way to do it ;) Congrats.
-
Lol a world of unchecked universal anti-judgmentalism doesn't help anybody. Judgment is necessary for improvement. Her reasoning is sound and delivered in a polite manner. I personally don't see anything wrong with points' it's less gimmicky, but lets not lose sight of the broader message that many can learn from.

Desperation leads people to have faith in radical promises... in many aspects of life. Unfortunately it's one thing some people learn the hard way and ruin their metabolism.
