You may need to have a look at your form? or speak to a doctor? Jillian has some programmes that are less impactful I believe, maybe start slower and work up to the Shred. Or take a few days off and go back to level one for a little bit longer.

Just finished week 1 and 2 of Body Revolution, a rest day today and then onto workouts 3 and 4.

I have my last workout today, then will have a while before I can use weights again, travelling between family and for work. Anyone have any suggestions of what programme/workout I could do?
-
It is a workout programme by Jillian Michaels, you can buy it on Amazon or have a look on Youtube.
-
It's funny the ones that seem the hardest can be really random. But well done for pushing through.

Let me know how that one is, I have been intrigued, is it a good overall body workout, with more of a focus on abs? I did 6 days of each Ripped level, but needed some rest days in-between, I moved my weights up so found myself quite achy at times. I also stay at hotels a lot so there where times I did not have my weights…

Good luck to you too, what are you planning to do next?

OOh level three is a killer, even the warm up burns. I have done 1 day of level 4 and don't think it was as hard, still a good workout, I moved my weights up to 5kg for some of the moves, left me sore for a few days, I pushed myself to do harder weights because I knew I would take a few days off as away from home. So back…

Last day of Ripped week 3, then onto week 4, it is definitely a step up from the 30 Day Shred. I am planning to do Body Revolution next. What are other people's long term goals/plans?
-
Day 2 of level 3 completed. It is really tough. I have had a break with BFBM, and a few days I could not work out at all. Hoping to get back to consistency now the festive period is over.
-
I have been doing BFBM, but start week 3 of the 30 day Shred tomorrow. Excited to use my weights again. But glad I am managing to get exercise in around my schedule.
-
Go @MaryBethHempel I am away from home for the festive season now, so don't have my weights. I finished week 2 of Ripped in 30, and until I am home, will be doing Banish Fat Boost Metabolism. BFBM is killer, I have never sweat so much in my life. Has anyone else tried it?
-
Yes there is a difference. It can be difficult to see if you are constantly looking for change. I have a few items of clothing, that were snug or didn't fit me at all, and find trying them on the best way to see a difference. More of my old stuff fits me now. My posture has also really improved and that has made a real…

I decided to move onto the next level of Ripped, not letting my body get comfortable with anything. I loved level 2, it's hard, but more fun than the first level. I am probably going to do the whole thing twice through though. @sjezip the '30 day shred' and 'Ripped in 30' are workout DVD's that you can do at home. You can…

Oh no. I hope you are feeling better soon. I haven't been able to do ripped today, I don't have my weights. So instead did the cardio only workout from Body Revolution. Good to let my body recover as I am still finding the 4kg weights a challenge.
-
I just finished day 6 with a break between 3 and 4. Going to take another day of and then do 3 more days again. I think I will do the whole ripped program with 3 days and then a day off with nine workout days per level.
-
I am not sure, it says 5-6 but I felt the 10 days of the shred was quite nice. I don't get bored doing the same thing because I like to put my headphones in and zone out. If everything is new I have to think too much about form etc. 6 days might not feel like enough, maybe ten will be too much. What are you thinking?
-
@tamlou89 I had to take a day off after my 3rd day, which I hated doing but could feel my body needed to recover. About to start my day 5 workout. It really is a step up from the shred. I thought it would be going back slightly, but It seems to carry on the progression. Again amazed by how quickly strength and endurance…

I don't know if the names are really all that reflective of which is better for shedding weight or toning, I was just saying that is how they got their names. I think as long as your body still feels challenged by the workout you will be benefiting from it, but also changing things up, keeps the body from getting used to…

The name of the workout programs by Jillian Michaels, the '30 Day Shred' and 'Ripped in 30', unless you mean the definition of 'ripped' and 'shred' in context of fitness? Ripped being muscle gains, as the muscle tears or 'rips' to rebuild and get stronger, and shed refers to actual fat loss.
-
If I skip a day even if it's needed for rest, I get so thrown. One day of can derail me from fitness completely. Glad to see you have more resolve than I usually do. Has anyone set themselves 'rewards' like new gym stuff or a dress etc? What are they and when do you earn them?
-
I have been trying to work up to them. And will take me a while to be able to keep up with Jillian. Might do ten days of all levels of Ripped instead of the 6. I can do the workout tonight now as my flight was cancelled. So I get to go home tonight.
-
I just moved up to 4kg weights, and did my first day of Ripped in 30, bloody hard, they are just over 8lbs together, you lost loads tamou89, well done.
-
I am starting ripped in 30 tonight, this is going to take a lot longer, I am hotels for a few days a week, so will try to plan my rest days and cardio when I am away from home. will not be quite 30 days, but trying to create a fitness program that fits in with my actual life. I had 3 weeks of work at the beginning of last…

I have only added the Cardio for the last three days because I wasn't losing as much fat any more. Still losing but very slowly compared to the start. So hopefully it will make a difference, I am trying to get rid of my 'snack pack'. I went down two sizes but that was very strict with my diet too. Are you seeing much loss?
-
You are adding loads MaryBeth, I have just added the cardio from Body Revolution, I think when I move onto Ripped in 30 the first level will seem easy by comparison to level three (I might come to regret saying that) so think I can handle more cardio to supplement. Just about to do my last 30 day shred.
-
Welcome hist_doc. OOooh that ticker is good fun, I track all my workouts on a website/app called Fitocracy, it gives you points and you level up, it is silly, but I find it motivational. And other people give you 'props' for your workout, which is nice.
-
penultimate workout done, for some reason that was the hardest workout I have done, my body just wasn't cooperating, I pushed through but my can usually do it at a much higher intensity without stopping. Last day tomorrow, cannot wait to see what ripped in 30 will throw at me.
-
I found the most fat loss on the first level, didn't really notice much on level two, and level three I can see my body is really toning, I am quite small anyway, was a UK 8 when I started and now down to a 6, I am on day six of level three, my tummy used to wobble around doing cardio and now it isn't really at all, which…
