I've used this workout plan for the past year or so (I just keep repeating phase 2). I like it because, for each exercise, there's a video with a voiceover that explains each step in the exercise,a detailed explanation of how the perform the exercise, and a list of alternative exercises that work the same muscle area. (I…

I'm 61. Started on MFP around March 2012, counting calories and doing mostly cardio. Started lifting in summer 2012 and found it much less boring. Dropped 35 pounds by year-end 2012 and have kept them off. Now tracking maintenance calories and working out 5 -6 days a week. Before I started this journey, if someone would…

I started out lifting without gloves - the lifting was great but the calluses were uncomfortable. I got my gloves at Target approx 18 months ago. They're starting to fall apart now, but I think they were a good deal - around $10. I just got a set of wrist wraps because lifting heavier weights made my wrists ache. If you…

Me! I've dropped 35 pounds and reduced my body fat percentage to 23% but still need meds to keep my BP in the right range. Darn annoying. Now working to reduce sodium - currently averaging around 2000 mg/day.

Things to check: Are the settings in the HRM (such as your age, weight, etc) correct? Or maybe it's set up for kilos when you want it to use pounds or vice versa?
