These are some really excellent points. I guess I'm not too worried about "buffing" up. I do like the points that were made for improving strength vs. general health and maintenance. I think for now, since it's challenging enough, I'll stick to yoga. It's easily available for me without a gym membership and added equipment.

These are all very great points, and I'll consider them. I think for now, since yoga is challenging and is making me very sore, as well as being fun, I'll stick to yoga, but maybe I will go to a weight class one of these days to check that out too.

The thing is, I'm not sure if I need lifting like traditional lifting. I'm not looking to buff up or anything. I guess my purpose would be to battle the muscle slide as you lose weight, which I've heard can lower your metabolism and make things harder.

I know, i know, oatmeal is the miracle food. Unfortunately, I have tried it cooked, raw in smoothies, baked, soaked, you name it. I just can't seem to like it :( I'll try subbing an egg for some of the toast, and maybe some more fruit. Thanks for the suggestions guys!
