I agree that most of it will not go away, it depends a lot on your age, also how much weight you lose. Hydration is important, and moisturizing, slow and steady weight loss might be better than a really fast one, giving the skin time to recover a bit.But I agree=a bit wrinkly is better than being pudgy, unhealthy,…

Thank you for sharing your incredible and inspiring story. How wonderful that someone on the other side of the world, got you started on your journey! I have found a lot of support, encouragement, friendship from lovely people on MFP, even though we may never get to meet in person. You were correct in saying that the meals…

I agree, and believe me I am no expert. You are not eating enough calories. Although I have regained some of my loss through a variety of reasons, the way I lost over 20 kgs was logging food, but eating healthily and well, and a brisk walk every day for around 60 minutes. I have back problems and I am no "spring chicken"…

Beginning of day 4 and have not worried or even thought about wine much. Went out for lunch and movies yesterday, sometimes have a chardy with my friend but we both had diet ginger beer. Have proved to myself that alcohol makes me retain a LOT of fluid as I am getting up 5 or 6 times at night to go to the bathroom... Had…

You look wonderful! Well done! You are not only looking better and feeling better I'm sure but have probably added years to your lives as well. Keep up the awesome work!

Day One and I didn't really miss my wine. What I had here has all been consumed, and I told hubs not to buy me any more. I will buy when and if the occasion arises. I weighed myself this morning and although I had not gained as much as I expected, given how I am feeling, it was still a considerable amount and I know it was…

Since my birthday in April, I have fallen off the wagon bigtime. No such thing as I'll just have one glass here.... Because hubs buys his beer at Dan Murphys and has to drive some distance to get it, he was getting me a dozen dry whites. Well if you open a bottle you may as well finish it, right? he only drinks red on…

I am trying hard to cut down a lot, I am having diet tonic water which I like, and also Coopers ultra lite beer, from the supermarksoft drinks section. It tastes quite good and I don't feel so deprived while hubs is having his Resch's stubbies. Haven't tried the non alcohol wine though, would rather wait and just have a…

I had surgery ( not laparoscopic) for 2 hernias in Dec 2012. Surgeon told me I could resume my walks after a few weeks but no lifting heavy exercise for up to 18 months as that is how long it can take to heal. Please go on what the surgeon tells you, not other well meaning friends on MFP. Everyone is different. All the…

I have Honey Bear aka Honeybunny, a rescue pet ( the best type). She is a Tibetan Spaniel X, perhaps with Corgi. So loving, follows me everywhere, even lays on the bathroom floor while I have a shower. Sweetest nature. I have had in the past Kelpies which are so beautiful and a little Corgi x, all from pounds, and all with…

Well my wrists are skinny, so are my ankles but I have wide hip bones. My GP said I should weigh the same as her as we are the same height. She is a very small framed Asian lady I would seriously have to cut an arm and leg off to weigh the same as her!!

Hi I have not read all of the replies you have received, but this site has some yummy recipes suitable for all the family I'm sure. I intend to make the Italian Wedding soup real soon, had never heard of it until a MFP friend logged it in their food diary but I think they have canned stuff. http://crockpotladies.com/ You…

Thanks for sharing Patty! You look absolutely fabulous. I managed to lose about 22 lbs before I accidentally discovered MFP, and I think it is the reason I didn't fall back into my old ways. Like you, when I suddenly decided I better start moving, I announced to my hubs I was going to go for a walk around the block, I…
