I was told no caffeine or alcohol for six months because they were diuretics, but the more I read I saw they were too harsh for the pouch too.

Welcome aboard. I'm six months postop RNY. I've been in a stall the past month but I'm down about 73 lbs, give or take a little.

I have a few tattoos in mind that I've been wanting to get. My boyfriend is a tattooist and won't do them until my body "settles", so I've decided to do at least one as a reward when I reach my first goal weight.

I have three tubs of Syntrax Nectar flavors and an tub of Isopure unflavored. I've tried several samples of Nectar flavors and pretty much every one was tasty. Hard to go wrong with them. The Isopure I like to put in a shaker cup with low sugar juice or V8. I also put a scoop of it in with SF/FF pudding when I was making…

I had gastric bypass on April 17th and on my 6 month "surgiversary" three days ago I had lost 73 lbs and 13 BMI points. My surgery weight was 274.8 and I'm currently at 201 at 5'3". I am 33 years old and have been overweight since childhood, with my highest being 310 lbs two years ago. I have a little bit of sagging on my…

Beautiful! Congrats to you.

Definitely keep us updated because I'm interested in it as well. I decided recently to sign up for an 8K held in March and was planning to use this program as well, to start. I officially started "training" for it today just by walking the length of the 8K (just under 5 miles) to get my body used to that distance. I'm…

- Going to use equipment and there's a pool of sweat on it from the last person. - People not racking plates. I am getting stronger but it's sometimes hard for me to put heavier ones back, esp if they're up high. - The dude having a FaceTime convo with his gf the other day was a new one. Me and my friend were partnered up…

I ended up going with RNY for a couple reasons: 1. Lapband isn't performed anymore at the surgical group I used because of its high failure rate. 2. VSG I felt was too drastic for me, being that I would lose a large portion of my stomach. I also heard stories of people having it done and stretching their sleeve out,…

My birthday has never been a big deal, even when I was a kid. I was born on December 21 and when I was little my mother would just give me a cake on Christmas, and under the tree were my presents for both days. lol As I became an adult my friends are usually heading out of town or money is tight, because of the holidays.…

You look wonderful. Congrats on all your success! :)

Exactly my answers.

You look great! I'm also 5'4" and I started working out at 301 lbs in May. My progress is much slower than yours but it's very inspiring to see somebody who had my similar frame make big goals. Super job.

I'm on week 3 day 3 (rest) of the 20 week Fire Starter schedule. Absolutely loving it so far, though I'm not seeing any weight loss yet. I actually *gained* a few pounds but that's more than likely due to water retention from starting a new exercise routine.
-
I'm in the same boat. Feel free to add me.

Same here... I just finished day 2 of the 20 week Fire Starter schedule. I'm a graduate of Power 90 but I tried 3 times to make it through P90X without success. Thought going a different route altogether might help get me going again. I'm pretty overweight still but I'm going to push through as best as I can and…

You look amazing! Congrats on all your hard work!!

It's my nickname (real name Christina) and my lucky number.

I've had this happen as well, after I ate a whole avocado. I believe it was due to the richness of the (healthy) fat in the avocado, after I had been on low fat diet. I felt nauseous for hours. I haven't been able to try an avocado since then four months later.

Day 1, done! Chest and Back felt almost *too* easy. I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. lol

I ended up just creating exercises in the database (such as "Sculpt 1-2, Power 90") and entered info from my HRM.

"New Rules of Lifting for Women." I really don't sit down and read for pleasure anymore. I seriously think working at a library for a few years ruined it. lol

Helloooooooooo... Suffolk here.

Yup. 32 and never married. My mother is threatening to get me a mail order husband. lol

Old Navy has a decent selection.

Congratulations! You look wonderful. Your face really thinned out noticeably. I can't wait until mine does too. lol

Day 86 here. I'm moving on to P90x in a few weeks, after I come back from vacation. I've had good results from it, though it did get boring for me after a while. Stick with it though and you will see results, but make sure your diet is on track.

I'll be starting in a few weeks. I like to read threads like these so I have an idea of what I'm in for. lol I'm very overweight still so I'm gonna have to modify the heck out of some things, but I'm really looking forward to the challenge. I have faith in myself that I can do it.

You look great! Congrats on all your hard work. :drinker: Btw, since I cleaned up my diet and started working out my skin has also cleared up a lot and my acid reflux flare-ups were cut back drastically. I was having to take a reflux pill pretty much daily and I was in so much pain at time. I had to take a pill two nights…

Congratulations! Amazing job! I hope to someday run a few races but I want to get my weight down some more first.
