I was thin as a child, but always thought I was fat. I would go on crazy diets as a preteen and idolized bulimic and anorexic girls. In my mind, these girls had it figured out and I was weak because I had to eat. So I would beat myself up, and eat. Yeah totally screwed up right? I would workout in my bedroom at night…

The legs and knees really helped! I still look awkward, but at least I'm headed in the right direction! Thanks ladies!

I'm so glad I'm not alone! Yes, I am white, and grew up on country, christian, and pop boy bands. I have the shimi down pretty well, but my booty just doesn't want to be a budunkadunk ;) I really want to become an instructor, but if I can't shake my booty... Sigh. I'll keep at it, and shake it like a pro in no time.

It would be fabulous if they added a Glycemic Index category rather than just "sugars." I saw this in the suggestion forum, so hopefully they'll take that to heart.

Chips. They don't do anything exept satisfy the crunch craving. I'm better off eating celery or carrots. Chips are just empty calories and high sodium.

Great information. Thank you

Wow. My first thought was "there's mo way!" and them that made me want to do it. But honestly, my iPhone is my only phone. So I can't give it up just in case work calls. But how sad is it that I'm so dependent on this one device? It's my alarm clock, my bank, my radio, my camera, my social network, my fitness aide, my…

I'm struggling on what to give up. Normally I do something that is bad for me that will benefit me afterwards. Like no coffee, no soda, cut out desserts, etc. But this year I want it to be about Him. No special "prize" for me. This is an entirely new outlook on lent for me, so I'm not sure what it will be. Maybe I'll give…

We "walk like animals" so we jump around like frogs (explosive plyo movements), inch along like inch worms (bend in a v, walk with your hands out, then walk your legs back so you're in a V again), walk like horses (alternating arm/legs takes more thought than you'd really think. Most people move right leg and right arm at…

Ugh I know! I haven't done it consistently either. For me, it's such a pain in the butt to try and get it in. Since I bounce from house to house, I have to remember to pack my DVD and my weights. Then it's a matter of finding a place to do it, since the front room at my folk's place is right next to their bedroom. I wake…

Oooh! I love the 20 jumping jacks right now! Thanks everyone. I'm at work right now, but WILL go to the gym afterwards.

I wouldn't go to the gym, just so I don't infect others. Personally, I think it is super rude when sick people go out in public. However, I would workout if I was sick. Getting warm creates a fake "fever" and can help your body fight off the bug. Now, if you already have a fever, or if you are so sick that you can't move,…

TUESDAY: I affectionately call this H20 Tuesdays!! I'm at 6 cups of water, but I know I'll hit at least 10 if not the full 12 I did 47 min of circuit training today. Level 1 of 30 Day Shred, plus Level 2. I skipped the first cool down and second warm up since I was doing both. Calorie wise, I still have 1224, so I'm…

Happy Valentine's Day! Starting weight 147.4 lbs with my goal being 135 by Easter. Thank you for your support everyone!

I was wondering this too. I had lunch, and threw it up due to the medications I was on. I still counted it, but I was super under my goal anyway that day :(
-
Good idea. Just be careful with the coffee. You don't want to quit cold turkey and get the withdrawl headache. They're a pain.

I am in love with the K Swiss Tubes that JM recommend. I haven't actually worn them out of the store yet though. LOL They're my reward for my mini goal weight (3 lbs to go!) but they are really light weight, super breathable, and fun to bounce around in. They aren't super "bouncy" though, so don't expect that ;) JC Pennys…

I hear the K Swiss Tubes are great! I just tried some on last night and loved them. Super light weight and breathable. They're going to be my reward for reaching my first mini goal. Jillian Michaels recommends them, and I've read some other posts by MFP members that love them too.

Even though the 30 Day Shred only technically has 6 min of cardio, it still keeps your heart rate up throughout the entire workout. It's all non-stop, so you get the benifits of strength/resistance along with the cardio. I highly recommend it!

I'm in!

I had the same issue about a week ago. Some people will try to tell you it's new onset diabetes. Chances are, it's not. But if you keep feeling off, check with you doctor. For me, it was an increase of exercise, high sodium, and a drastic change in my water consumption. I used to never exercise, and barely drank water. Now…

Listen to your body. It will tell you if it's too much. I do not think that is too much exercise. Personally, I like to do the 30 Day Shred every day (I've missed a few) and then go to the gym every day that I can for at least 30 min to an hour for cardio. Is my body tired? Yes. Are my muscles sore? Yes. Is it to the point…

Set your calorie goal higher than normal. Most breastfeeding moms should stay between 1800-2200 calories per day. Eating less than 1800 can cause your supply to drop. Make sure you stay well hydrated as well! Your body needs tons of fluids to keep the milk supply up. Oatmeal is great for building supply as well, so if you…

I take Vitafusion Prenatal Gummies. I'm not pregnant, nor ttc but I figure it can't hurt to have the extra folic acid. It's without the extra iron though. I'm debating switching to a regular gummie one though, since it seems low on other vitamins. I just can't do the swallow pill form. It either has to be gummie or…

Um... chew soup and yogurt? How in the world?
-
Thanks for all the information. I never really gave this issue any thought. I always chow down quickly, sometimes I don't think I really chew at all lol. Yep, I need to change this.

I moved up to level 2 before I could "master" level 1. It's hard for sure, but not impossible. I'm modifying moves still, but I plan to keep moving up every 10 days. Personally, I'm doing the shred on top of other exercises as well, but still doing it almost every day. My plan is to get through this first 30, and then…

How long is it between your breakfast and lunch?

Alright, 30 day shred and Zumba done. Now it's off to the gym for my spinning class c
