  • I forgot to weigh in yesterday. Stupid bank holidays making me lose track of the days! I stayed the same though. Hopefully a better week this week and will actually lose some weight. Well done to everyone who lost and to those trying their hardest to lose.
  • Hey, sorry I've not been around much this week. I rediscovered my love of cross stitch and have been busily stitching away. Not had a very good week with eating and exercising and I stayed the same weight this week. Still 213lbs.
  • Didn't think I'd had a good week this week, haven't logged everything and didn't really do much exercise. However, I jumped on the scales this morning and they said I weigh 213lbs. That's a 3lb loss! I'm wondering now whether I've not been eating enough. Most days I net around 1200 calories but this last week it's been…
  • I only walk at the moment, hoping to join the gym soon though. I lost around 35-40lbs a few years ago doing no exercise except walking. Some days at the moment it's an hour or more at a brisk pace, some days it's a lot less. Whatever I do I make sure to get out and at least do some walking each day, I figure a 10 minute…
  • Softish and in custard. Lots of custard.
  • I've found my water bottle really helps. If I drink out of a glass I never seem to drink enough. Just keep at it. I HATED water when I started this. Now I prefer it to anything else most of the time.
  • I only count water. Don't care what research says, when I went back to drinking soda for 2 months I found I was constantly thirsty despite drinking more and my skin reverted to being dry and horrible. I do have a cup of tea in the morning and sometimes one at night but still make sure to drink my 2 litres of water on top…

  • Hmm...double post. Maybe I'll start a religion that worships accidental double posts.
  • Completely non religious person here. Feel free to add me. I've not seen too much god talk on here to be honest and if I do see it I just ignore it. I have no problem with people who do practice religion as long as they don't ram it down my throat.
  • Great post. I promise myself nothing now. I will not stick to a rigid exercise plan. I will not stick to a rigid meal plan. I will not completely deny myself foods that aren't so healthy but that I genuinely enjoy, I just have them less often or have less of them. If I deprive myself of them completely I will find myself…
  • I tend to stay around the 1200 mark. My aim is between 1200 and 1600 calories a day (MFP gives me 1600 cals to lose 1lb a week 1200 for 2lb a week) but I've found I can eat a ton of food for around 1200 calories if I'm careful. Chicken, fish, eggs, potato (I refuse to give them up!), veggies all make regular appearances in…
  • An ostrich egg. Very careless of me, that was tomorrows breakfast!
  • It's horrendously boring. To be fair though I feel that way about a lot of exercise, there is absolutely nothing mentally stimulating about it and I find myself getting bored and not wanting to do it.
  • BMR is how much your body would burn if you just lay in bed all day and did absolutely nothing else isn't it? I doubt you're going to be doing that so your defiict will be higher than 100 calories.
  • Health and fitness are my biggest motivators. I don't want to cross that line and be diabetic. I don't want high blood pressure. I don't want my face to be post box red when I have to walk up a gentle slope. Nor do I want to be gasping and wheezing like someone who's smoked 60 a day for 50 years. I want to be able to go on…
  • Congratulations!
  • My brother is the same way with food. His stems from being ill while being weaned and throwing up every single time he ate. He lived on potato waffles, chips and roast potatoes for 20 years. Now he's managed to convert to processed chicken things and pizza. He has problems even trying new foods, he finds it very difficult…
  • Have you tried eating more? I feel the same way when I've done 3-4 miles of walking and only net the 1200 calories. I find I have to aim for the 1600 MFP gives me to lose 1lb a week on those days otherwise I'm tired and cranky as hell the next day. Might be worth a visit to the doctor about your anemia and the problem with…
  • I had rice, beansprouts, red and green peppers and chicken.
  • I need to find me some of these! I can't drive so regardless of weather I have to walk places. Plus I own a dog and he has to be walked regardless of weather. And I can't stand being cooped up indoors all day for days on end. I'm probably MORE active in winter than in summer coz in the hot weather I just want to lie around…
  • I did Weight Watchers for about 3 years, lost weight and maintained on it. I noticed no difference between summer and winter really. Except for Christmas anyway, I always gained a little at Christmas. I don't like salads so don't eat them at any time of year.
  • Weiged in this morning, 216lbs. 1lb loss this week.
  • Not all of them are hoaxes. I met my husband through an online dating site, we've been together 6 years now, married 2 years tomorrow. It's just easier for people to be a**holes online, it's more anonymous. Itlane, I don't think you're shallow in wanting what you find attractive in a man. We can't help what we do and don't…
  • My mum has WW digital scales, they always seemed fairly consistent when we did WW. They were also very consistent with telling me I'd gained weight when I was put on medication and gaining 4lbs a week, that wasn't so nice :grumble: I weigh and measure once a week, occasionally I jump on the scales if my hubby weighs…
  • Weight fluctuates daily, sometimes by quite a lot. How much sodium have you had in the last few days? Chances are its water weight, I doubt you've eaten enough in a couple of days to put on 2.5lbs. Make sure you weigh on the same scales in the same spot each time, my scales have me 7lbs heavier on one side of the bathroom…
  • Lets just say pink is not an acceptable colour. And if theres blood....ugh, no way am I eating that, take it back and actually cook it!
  • When I'm at home I weigh almost everything. When I'm eating out I go with the highest one in the database unless I can find the info exact thing I've eaten somewhere. I've found discrepencies with almost every user added food in the database. Try looking up the calories elsewhere and not just on MFP if all the entries say…
  • So sorry to hear about you husband and mum Julie, good thoughts to all of you
  • This! I stick with full fat cheese and milk etc. I much prefer the taste of them so to me it's worth the extra calories.
