Multiply your desired weight by 11. That is the calories per pound you need to maintain that body weight. For example, 130 pounds time 11 = 1430. If I wanted to weigh 110, maintenance calories forthat would be 1210. I would have to decide how to decrease my calories per day by 220. I could exercise or cut out food or both.

I would agree that to really lose weight you need some type of cardio.

I took ali several years ago to help me lose weight. If you eat too much fat, you will definitely be in the bathroom. Short term it was fine, long term? I wouldn't do it. Keeping weight off is much harder for me than losing it. I think you have to find what works for you. I can't keep cookies etc. at home because I eat the…

About 5 years I ago I got down to a weight where most people had never seen me before. I was far from being too skinny, but everybody kept telling me I was too thin. They would get mad when we would go out to eat and I'd order a salad. (I actually love salads). I finally quit going anywhere with them! Hang in there! Some…

Have you gone to the DR. and had a good checkup/physical? It could be something along those lines.

I struggle with food all the time. I find that working out helps me by giving me more calories to eat and relieving stress. I tend to judge my accomplishments by what others have done, and that sets me back. I may be going slowly on weight loss, get fit journey, but I am going, and that's what is important.

send me a friend request as I don't know how! annadavidson1984:smile:

I'll be 51 in April and I try to work out every day. I usually make it 5/7 or 6/7 (I work a full time job and part time job). I do Jillian Michaels' videos. Now there are some things I just can't do, but I try to do something similar to whatever she is doing. I'd say vary whatever you are doing and see if that helps. I…

My children were four and seven when we divorced. We explained to them that it was a grown up solution to a grown up problem. They went to their dad's every other weekend and he saw them after school as many days as he wanted to. We tried to keep things as normal for them as possible. We even still went to the same church…

I am ready to start 30D shred level 2. l bought her No more trouble zones CD which I like and it appears you chan choose selections on it such as just abs etc. I really like her Banish Fat Boost Metabolism CD. Now that being said I certainly can't just breeze right through them. I have her Yoga Meltdown but had a super…

the ability with food to change the numbers on the food amounts. For example, I would like to say I ate two muffins rather than have to go back and check and add each time

Any type of cookie, candy etc. Friends say just buy those 100 calorie packs. That doesn't work if you eat the whole box at once!

First I will say I have struggled with my weight since I was around 14. I'm now 50. About 5 years ago I finished losing the 70 pounds I needed to lose. Shortly after that I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. It isn't an injury, but it certainly has been life changing for me. Before that, and in my 20's and 30's, I ran, did…

I didn't get married until I was 29. I had my first child at 31 and my second at 34. Raising children is expensive, time consuming, and sometimes very frustrating! I would have made a terrible mother at 21, but that's just me. I think it is nobody elses business when you have children. That is a decision that you and your…

I think age is just a number. One of my friend's significant other has kids the same age we are and they have been together 26 years. My ex is five years younger than I am. I think it depends on what you want. If you are a female (50 such as myself), I know I'm nothaving more children. I'd date somebody 30, but not if they…
