just playing the devil's advocate here....but I think the point of the shoes is to make you actually work to keep your feet/ankles/legs in alignment. That is why they supposedly work your muscles more than regular shoes that provide the support for you. If you stand in the shape-ups with "weak" legs you will roll inward.…

just make one of the other days that week that was going to be a higher day into a lower day. the goal is that over the course of the week it will still average the same deficit. it doesn't matter what order you do the up-downs.

okay...so I think I am the only one left on this thread, lol. But i will con't to write because it helps keep me motivated thru the 6 weeks that I committed myself to do! I got up and watched the beautiful sunrise this morning from our vacation beach house  and then went for my 3.5mi trek down to the pier and back…

ugh...just finished typing all this and it didn't load....here I go again.... well, I got level1 done before dinner tonite! yay! My family probably thinks I'm crazy for doing a second workout today while on vacation, but I don't care...I am committed!!! haha!! I did have a few snacks (pretzels and chips/salsa....oh and a…

i don't think just doing the 6w6p will give you the "cut" look like that. It is intense cardio with the focus being on the core. It isn't like doing a billion crunches or using resistance training that I believe you would need to do to get that defined "6pack" look. Go ahead and do it! I'm into my 3rd week of it

Thanks Kat!! Got a great walk in this morning...walking fast in loose sand is very difficult, lol. My legs are tie-urd!! haha!! I may squeeze in a level 1 later this afternoon (there might be a storm rollin thru) So how do you feel over-all about the whole 6 weeks completed now? Do you see/feel a difference in your core?…

knocked out lev 2 this am before getting ready to leave for vacation....then threw the DVD and my handweight into my bag! Hopin' to stick to somewhat of a routine while also enjoying the beach!

Need to rehydrate…

yesterday was a rest day for me as I had a nice long/busy day at work... knocked out a quick level 2 already this morning since I woke up early...feels good to get it done and start the day right! Kat...the diag. get-ups are the "crunches" where you reach your opposite arm to opposite leg like a half pike (did that even…

Level 1 done after a 45 min power walk in the HOT outdoors!!! Anybody able to do the diagonal get-ups? Like all the way up? I watch Basheera knocking those out like nothin and think she is not real, lol!

How are we all doing? Going into my 3rd week now of steady 6w6p workouts! I may be delusional but I think my lower abs might be a little tighter!!! How are you guys feeling?
-

@sdgirl....Good job on the Ri30!! Sometimes I would do lev. 1 right after lev. 2 of that one just to get a better workout in. I don't think adding an addt'l 15-20min of ab work after the others would be too much at all. Do whatever feels right to you! I figure when you can say something is getting easier...it's time to…

@mlek13...LMAO!!!  You get an A for effort!!! Her workouts are definitely hard on the wrists. I do the up-downs and burpees on my fingertips to save the strain on the wrists. @kat....I know you probably already mentioned this, but what other dvd's of hers have you done? I think I've tried them all .... I…
-
plus....if you have any of her other workouts, you'll see that she switches up the cast and their positions and when I saw the topic title, I was going to finish the sentence with "awesome!"
-
wow....what's that say about your own feelings? because I always thought the black girls doing the advanced versions were being shown as true athletic bad-*kitten*! If anything, I always thought she was treating the little white barbie types as wimpy, not giving them a break! Just sayin'
-
thanks everyone!!! I feel great!!! And, yes "logging" badges would be cool!
-
Good job Kat!! So you don't get bored doing the same level for days in a row?
-
Well, just finished lev 1 after going out in the mid-day heat for a power walk! Whew! I was SPENT!!! But...I did manage to do all the side plank knee raises this time!! Although it still wears out my arms/shoulders a tad. I feel like I could do more if my arms weren't giving out on me. On a side…

it is a free website that relies on the entries of the members to have this amazing database of foods!! When I first started on here there was a limited amount of the foods that I used. Now it is rare that I look something up that is not already entered. If it is the first time I am looking it up, I always double check the…

Hey Kat! Welcome! Hope we can keep this group thread going at least for the 6 weeks for the 6w6p! I can't wait to compare our results if we all stick to it! I have just finished week 1!! so today I actually got up at 4:45 am :noway: and did lev. 2 before going to work for my 12 hr shift!!! WHAT!!!!??? You girls must be motivating me for sure!!!! :flowerforyou:
-
I should TOTALLY get up early tomorrow and workout before work (it's a short day for me...not my typical 12 hr shift) since I had a Pampered Chef party tonite and ate toooooo much, lol. Mosty fruits and veggies, but some snack junk too : p But I did squeeze a quick level 1 of 6w6p in during my cleaning and prepping! Just…

Good job Jen!!! :drinker: Welcome aboard mlek13!!! :flowerforyou: @sdgirl.... 8 LB WEIGHT!!?? AWESOME!!! I feel wimpy now for using my 3 or 5! lol  @saydee....at least you are getting up and doing an early morning workout, haha...more than I can say for myself. I have to have my tea and breakfast first! Have you…
-
@saydee...wow you are a morning person huh? lol! I would love it if I could get up and bust out a workout first thing in the morning! And about the 6w6p being a killer...IKR!! haha! I am sure most people probably think it's just another one of those crunches on the floor workouts....FAR FROM IT! lol! And Level 2 is even…
-
@jen....walmart and target usually have it for about $9 too @sadee...YAY!! glad to have somebody else doing similar routines!!! So are you planning on doing one of the "30" dvds followed by either running or 6w6p on the same day then?
