Love walking, hence, my MFP name! Since getting my Fitbit last September I have logged over 1000 miles! I also walk 10K's, and half marathons all over the U. S. I walk outside, inside, to DVD's (Leslie Sansone is my fav) Yes, indeed, walking for exercise is great for my physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health!

30% exercise and 70% diet...for me anyway.

My rewards will come after my Half Marathon on April 13. I'm hoping to be at goal by then. Anyway, here they are: A massage A pedicure and a hot fudge brownie sundae:love:

My March goals are: Stay within calorie goal. No nibbling or grazing. Lose the final 5.5 pounds by Easter. Continue training for Walking half marathon. Work out with weights for upper body strength. Drink 8+glasses of water daily. Continue to encourage my MFP friends as they encourage me.

I am 5'4" and started out at 182, so almost the same. Last year about this time my workplace started a Biggest Loser contest with two teams. I lost 10 pounds and decided it was not coming back on. Well about 4 pounds did come back on in the first couple of months. So I joined MFP in July 2012. The weight did not fall off…

I'm 5'4" and feel if I want to lose weight, I have to stay at 1200 calories most days. Once in a while I will eat a little over. But I am losing, slowly, which is the best way in the long run. You have to find what works for you. When I exercise, I try not to eat the extra calories. I lose weight better that way.

It seems like a good sign that it is still sending me messages, but it is really wet!

This has been the funniest message board to read! LOL! I only have one habit that I can think of because I just plain like to eat about anything, anyway, anytime! But, when eating eggs over easy at restaurants, I do have to dip my toast in the yolk in order to eat them. Is that strange?

I was afraid to get on the scales so waited a couple of days. On that day, I had gained 2.5 pounds. Haven't made the time for exercise but am trying to stay under my daily calorie goal of 1200, but my routine is off and so are my meals. Plus, I'm still making goodies like birthday cakes and cookies so there is some tasting…

Oh, I told myself this one today after eating my calories before 3:00 p.m. " I just won't eat any supper or evening snack." Yeah, right!

For many years, I was a yoyo dieter and eater. I would go through periods of eating good, healthy, low calorie, low fat foods. Then would start eating sweets and get out of control. I mostly ate good foods, but way too much of it and still would have those times of eating one cookie leading to 8 or 10 without even stopping…

Salad with strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, pecans, no dressing. Caramel sugar free pudding. Then snacked on seasoned croutons and 2 tablespoons of parmesan cheese. ( I just love that snack)

Thanks for all the tips. I did shop at Goodwill and bought a New York and Company winter pea coat for 5.99 in a size 8:smile: and another dress that I can use alone or with a short casual jacket or add a scarf for versatility. It was kind of fun shopping at Goodwill, sort of like a treasure hunt!

Yes, you are right. When I was on WW, I always cheated after the weigh-in. I did make it to goal but didn't really change my eating habits and gained some of it back. I like MFP better!

I weigh myself every morning. It keeps me motivated. It fluctuates some from day to day, but everytime I see a loss, even 1/2 pound, it encourages me so much! I only post the losses, so if there is a small gain, I work harder to have a loss. I know they say not to weigh daily, but it works for me! 16 pounds gone and down…

You look great! Congratulations on your success!

That's awesome!

I am a 16 year survivor of Colon Cancer. I was diagnosed at age 41, had 18 inches removed, 1 lymph node cancerous, chemo for 1 year and feel very blessed to be healthy and ....alive. Believe me, a colonoscopy is 1000 times easier that colon cancer surgery! Thanks for posting this to encourage people to have one!
