Hi, all! I'm Megan, 24 years old and a booking assistant, plus I put in some part-time hours as a social media assistant for a design company. I work around 50 hours per week and aim to work out for an hour 4 or 5 days a week but sometimes I get suuper lazy after being at work all day. My goal weight is somewhere between…

77 in Austin, TX. Don't even wanna imagine what this summer is going to be like, tbh.
-
I'm not counting calories Christmas day, but I AM going to make sure there are some really delicious veggie dishes so I can stack my plate with those and just have small amounts of the unhealthy stuff.
-
I'm in! I really need to tone up this coming year.
-
I started at a size 8, now I'm 118 lbs and usually a size 4 but sometimes a 2.
-
I did it over the summer and lost 17 inches! It really is a fantastic workout, especially if you don't have a lot of equipment or space.

Girl if you're in Boston you need to be shopping at Trader Joe's. It's cheaper than Shaw's, and it's totally worth taking the extra time on the T one day a week.
-
Ooh I'm in! Another 5 lbs will put me within my goal weight range! Right now I'm 119, goal is 114.

From 24.0 (normal), right before I started using MFP to 20.4 (ideal)!
-
Agree with this. When I cut out those same foods and added in some exercise to tone the muscles underneath, I lost a number of inches off my waist in a couple of weeks.
-
I've lost 20 lbs (16 since I started using MFP) and went from an 8 to a 2 - I'm still shocked every single time I go shopping.

Girl there's nothing wrong with being a feminist, no need for the disclaimer! This post is wonderful :)

The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami and Still Life with Woodpecker by Tom Robbins are my favorites!

I like to snack on walnuts (look up the health benefits of them! I can hardly believe it), avocado or some high quality cheese, with maybe a handful of berries. Delicious!

Someone told me once that once the water gets boiling, 8 minutes is the perfect amount of time to cook your egg without turning the yolk green. It works every time!

Oh jeez. Remember that he didn't actually die of a heart attack, kids.

Almost every guy I've dated has been exactly like my boyfriend, i TOTALLY have a type that I stick to, without actually meaning to. Dark messy hair, not too tall (because I'm kind of short!) bike-riding anarchists who understand and respect feminism, cats and good music. It helps if they're into design or history. Gimme…

things I hate in a partner include: men who don't care about style, or think that being well dressed makes them look "gay" (like that's a bad thing? whatever) having no ambition not caring about news or current events owning a vehicle significantly larger than what you actually need to perform your daily routine - like a…

GIRL :( I know eating disorders are such a huge struggle if you've dealt with them before, but it's not worth it to go down that road. Making yourself sick might help you reach a short term goal, but it will seriously harm your body and mind in the long run if you keep doing it. The fact that you have to ask if it's mental…

I used to do this all the time in my dorm - if you use a regular soft loaf of bread, it helps to toast the slices a little before you put them on the grill!

ALSO, I forgot to add that http://www.poorgirleatswell.com/ is a great resource for meal ideas on a budget!

I just posted this in the kale thread but it really is my go-to recipe for something fast and delicious - turkey kale burgers! from here: http://runnersfeed.com/homemade-kale-turkey-burgers/ I eat them without the bun and top with avocado slices - sooo tasty.

I'm on a very small first job out of college kind of budget, pretty similar to to your price range. I find it helps to make sure that the fresh veggies you're buying are in season, as those are the ones that will be cheaper, or go with frozen ones. Leafy greens like kale are super good for you, and cheap! I also make sure…

I chop it up and put it in a turkey burger! This recipe is SO good: Ingredients 2 lbs - Ground Turkey 3 cups (750 mL) - Kale, finely chopped 1 each - Egg, large 4 Tbsp ( 60 mL) - Worcestershire sauce 1 Tbsp (15 mL) - Garlic powder 2 tsp (10 mL) - Onion powder 1 tsp (5 mL) - Thyme, dried ½ tsp (3 mL) - Rosemary, dried 3…

Hendrick's gin is the way to go! I believe it only has 70 or so calories per serving, and is so good it doesn't need a mixer.
-
I used to go walking on my lunch break for a bit of exercise and then have a quick lunch at my desk afterwards! It helped with that late afternoon sluggish feeling and saved money since I was bringing lunch every day instead of going out :)

It doesn't require serious calorie restriction OR testing strips, and as a lifestyle that's been around and popular for over 30 years, I'd hardly call it a fad.
