Been doing it for a while now. Like you I stalled out on losing too and figured it wouldn't hurt to try TDEE and I am so glad I did. Slow and steady and I see inches coming off more now than ever. Be patient and give it a try.

May 25th will be my 1 yr of logging food with MFP. I will weigh in on that day and I hope to be at 53 lbs lost...which is a pound a week....I'm ok with that. I think my body is adjusting with every pound. My biggest worry was saggy skin if I lost too quick so I opted for slow and steady. If I can continue to lose the pound…

I am now set at 1839. I should be at 2044 but I have a hard time eating 1839 some days so I keep it at that. I work out 5 days a week. I do NOT eat back any of my exercise calories having it set this high. When I started MFP it had me at 1250 calories. I get the whole eating back your workout calories but on the days I did…

Do not use what MFP tells you to use. You have to eat to lose. I was like you when I started and I was confused and went by MFP. Yeah I lost weight quick at first then I plateaued and got stuck. I upped my calories and now I'm losing on average a pound a week. My diary is open and you can see I do not eat that healthy. I…

Do yourself a big favor and invest in a heart rate monitor. It is going to give you the most accurate calories burned. I have a polar FT4 and I do not work out without it on.

After being in a plateau for months I upped my calories and I am losing an average of a pound a week. I know I still don't eat as much as it says I should but I eat till I'm full.

Welcome! MFP is a great site with lots of amazing people on the same journey as you. Feel free to add me. I log every day, I workout almost daily and my diary is open.

You should try taking a new pic once every month or longer. If you do one every week it may discourage you because you probably will not see a big change from week to week. I do mine every couple of months, usually after I have gone to a store and try on a smaller size and it fits! :) I have also posted a horrible pic of…

I can see a big difference. Your arms and look at your lower thigh and knee area! You ROCK! Keep up the GREAT work and I am looking forward to seeing the final results pictures :)

I log everything. I exercise 5 days a week using a treadmill, stationary bike, elliptical and 30ds dvd. I recently increased my calories for the day because I plateaued HARD for almost 2 months. I Have not weighed in since I did that, I wanted to give it a full month (Feb 1st is my first weigh in) The only advise I can…

I agree, you need to talk to your doctor. Even if you did lose that much weight in such a short time that you would be healthy enough for the surgery. Your body is going to be so depleted and is going to have a hard time trying to recover from weight loss and surgery. I wish you all the best and I hope that you will reach…

I have done it 7 times since I bought it. I took a day off after the first workout then did it for 5 days straight and took 2 off. Did it again this morning and I plan on doing it every day from now on. Feel free to add me.

I have the Polar FT-4 and love it! I do not work out without it. I use the fit bit zip all day everyday just to keep track and hit my 10,000 step goal a day.

Just turned 37. By 38 I hope to reach my goal :)

I got the FT4 and it is simple and easy to use! Thank you all. I went online and read reviews and it deserves all the good ones it gets. I used it for the first time today and I love it. I hope to get more out of my workouts now :)

Always looking for support too so please add if you would like.

Welcome back. Feel free to add me. I log in daily and try to give as much support as I can.

I understand far too well where you are coming from. I have had 4 surgeries on my back and until this last one I was in serious daily pain. I can say now that I am almost pain free and not taking any medications at this time. I gained almost 100 pounds since 2004. I was in too much pain to exercise, I couldn't walk long…

Oh yeah.....Cheese is my one habit I can't kick. I love plain American cheese and cheddar cheese. Time of month is very hard for me since cheese is the I only thing I crave...I know its weird, most people crave sweets. Like most others here I have also turned to laughing cow cheese wedges. Great snack esp on some low fat…

Your not alone...Its hard to see the new you. I took a picture of myself front and side view when I started this. I have not looked at them at all. At my 50lb loss mark I will take new ones to see the difference.(we all know how brutally honest pictures can be) Maybe you should do the same. You are accomplishing so much…
