Jillian michaels body revolution workouts are all about 30 minutes. Short and intense. Works for my schedule.

A really popular marathon is Portland in October. It's an easy course too. A general rule of thumb for predicting a full time is to take your half, double it, and add 10 minutes (or is it 15?) so I figure you'd be ale to finish in about 5 hours. Obviously there are other factors like if it is hilly or hot that would add to…

I've done 30+ halfs. Your weekday milage seems good. Keep that up. On the weekends I would take whatever distance you are at, 5 miles you said? Add one mile every weekend. Then when you get to the 10 mile mark I'd alternate weekends with 6 miles, 8 miles the next weekend, 10 miles the third weekend, repeat 6, 8, 10 until…

I ran several half marathons first. Then my dad joined a running club that was training for the la marathon. I liked the idea of the club and once I joined I got sucked into the marathon schedule. That was 10 years ago, and 10 marathons and 3 babies later the club still sucks you in. Lol I would say you know if you are…

Jillian michaels DVDs or download some apps for your smartphone or tablet if you have one. Walks around your neighborhood if that's an option. I love my treadmill.

Sounds fine to me. :)

I do most of my workouts after work. I'm a teacher too and know how the kids wear you out. I usually get home and after 45 minutes or so feel energized enough to get a workout in. The only time I workout in the morning is typically when I go to my running club for the long run when I'm marathon training.

You can get dumbells for pretty cheap. They have some apps out there for your phone or tablet if you have one that work your abs, but, legs, arms.

Done! I had to take a break in the middle though. :)

I have a reebok. Had it for 7 years. The fans burned out on it but I haven't had a single problem with the motor. I'm very happy with it. I've done long runs up to 12 miles on it which sucks big time but the machine was able to handle it. Look for something with a longer belt for running and one with continuous horsepower.

I have a hard time workimg out on an empty stomach. I always eat when i first wake up. Before a run i will eat a granola bar just to get something in my belly and will eat my normal breakfast after the run.

What is TDEE?

The enell sport bra. Been using their bras for running for 8 years.

Im in SoCal. Did the Fontana half yesterday.

I wear a breathable running hat with my running clubs logo. I'm wearing it in my profile pic. I cannot stand NOT wearing it I've used it for so long. That goes for summer or winter. It does a gOod job keeping the sun out of your face.

Weeks 5 and 6 are tough. I'm modifying the program a bit and I'm going to spend three weeks on workouts 5 and 6. I don't feel like I have everything down enough to move on. I'm in no rush anyways. In all I'm actually really, really enjoying this program.

I have a few halfs coming up and just replace the cardio days with running. Been working fine for me.

I like my Nike tempo shorts and I usually wear my running clubs cool max shirt or some other cool max shirt from various races I've ran. Always wear my running clubs hat. When it's cold I wear a long sleeve tech shirt from a race and if it's really cold, then my race ready long distance tights. For now I've been wearing…

I have a 4 year old and a 1 year old and push them both in my double bob. Awesome stroller. 4 is not too old. Plus as somebody else mentioned you feel like you are flying when you don't have the stroller. :-) I also have a treadmill but only use that when my husband is around because of the one year old. The 4 year old…

I ran my first half 9 years ago. The biggest thing running has done for me is given me confidence. All the calorie burn is a nice bonus.

I have ran 10 marathons but on a break right now. Honestly if it weren't for all the great people in my running club I probably wouldn't have done any more than one. I have two little ones right now and am really struggling with motivation since the second was born. I have started doing more strength training recently and…

I usually run on Sundays but don't feel like it today. So probably a DVD. Maybe ripped in 30. And probably some type of wii game. Just dance or walk it out because I really enjoy those games. :D

The Hal higdon plan is online for free. Well, all his plans used to be butnim pretty sure they are still up there. And it shouldn't be a problem at all to adjust the schedule. If you go with his novice plan it is running three days a week.
-
I agree with the Hal higdon comment. It will prepare you.

Just ordered this. I will not be following the meal Plan as I don't eat meat at all. I'm not looking to lose weight but to add more muscle definition and to firm up.

My favorites right now are Jillian michaels shredding it with weights and ripped in 30. I also like Jackie Warner's personal training DVD. I may look into some of those dance based ones you mentioned. I really love dance based exercise too I use the just dance games on the wii for that currently.

Ditto. What works for you to actually getting in is best. :-)

I have a 4 year old and 11 month old. I used to run Marathons before kids but I find it tough to find time to run this much right now. What I am able to fit it are the 30 minute Jillian michaels videos. I get home from work around 3:30, chill and play for a little while then 30 minute workout. I've downloaded a few of them…

I like home. I enjoy my DVDs and run either outside or on my treadmill. The only reason I might like a gym membership is for aerobics classes. Home is easier with my kids though anyways for now.

M-F I typically do a 30 minute DVD. Usually one of Jillian's. I'm liking shredding it with weights the best right now. Sometimes on Fridays I swItch the DVD out with a 3 mile run. Saturday is always a 60 minute walk in the am. Depending on our plans either a DVD or a short run or a wii dance game in the pm. Sunday is…
