What do you wear when running? What's your favourites? Tried but hated.
I wear saucony shoes, I alternate between socks, adidas running socks are my fave. I wear sugoi running capri's, they're ok. A Lululemon tank I love! I go back and forth between a Lululemon tight Luon jacket and a north face shell. I have a bandana I fold and tie over my ears so to keep them warm and keep my ear buds in!
I'm having a hard time with a jacket. I need a new one but don't know which one yet. I have my iPhone in my pocket. Thinking of an arm band.

  • I like my Nike tempo shorts and I usually wear my running clubs cool max shirt or some other cool max shirt from various races I've ran. Always wear my running clubs hat. When it's cold I wear a long sleeve tech shirt from a race and if it's really cold, then my race ready long distance tights. For now I've been wearing brooks adrelenes for shoes.

Depends on the time of year......when it's -34C outside I wear a merino wool base layer, tights, a wicking long sleeve T, fleece & my shell along with whatever toque is handy and my Columbia gloves.

In between (spring & fall) it;s usually just tights, long sleeve t & asics thermopolis half zip.

With the balmy weather we had this march I got to wear my disreputable old asics soccer shorts and wicking t.

Most of the time I wear Nike cushioned cotton socks but have wicking two layer socks for longer runs. I've also experienced the joy of red streaks on my t-shirt (guys will know what this is  ) so I tend to avoid waffle weave shirts and for long runs in warmer weather have an under armour compression top I wear under my t-shirt.

My shoes for the past few years have been Asics Gel Nimbus. My running shell is a no-name reflective jacket from Running Room.

Does everyone always wear a jacket? Or long sleeve type shirt? What about summer?

Only when I need it. I swear by Athleta - they know how to make nice looking & functional clothes.

I couldn't run without my arm band too - saw you were thinking about one. Couldn't imagine having to hold my iPhone! I have a Belkin one I got on Amazon.

Great! I have been thinking of an arm band! Does it protect it from the rain?

I love my armband! Not sure how it would do in the rain - my iPhone's not fully protected in there, but the one time I got caught out in a light shower I turned the band so the phone was more under my arm and protected a bit more.

Our weather has been crazy lately (central California) - the same week I find myself wearing shorts & a tank top, then capris & a tee, then tights & a long sleeve top and my fleece earband! Of the tights I have, my Filas are my favorite, but I don't have tons of experience with tights yet - got 'em fairly cheap at TJ Maxx. All my tops are some type of wicking/dry/coolmax whatever material. For long sleeves I have a couple of Patagonia capilene tops that work well (found them at thrift stores - SCORE!) or something similar.

My favorite stores for finding workout clothes are TJ Maxx & Marshall's (especially clearance racks), Target (their Champion compression sportsbras are my favorites!), and Kohl's if I've got a coupon & they've got a good sale.

I read somewhere to dress like the weather is actually 10 degrees hotter then the actual temp. Seems to work for ne, as we have crazy weather, I range anywhere from long tights, a long sleeve Dri fit, and light jacket to my Nike running shirts, a sports bra and a Dri fit t-shirt. I do wear a head band...can't stand when the little hairs are stuck to my face. :) I run with a ipod nano, its light weight and clips on = great. For shoes I have On Cloudrunners (for my long runs) and Nike Shox for short runs. :).
