  • Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I did not get fitted at a running store. Someone mentioned the cushioned heel and I believe these shoes maybe cushioned more in the heel than anywhere else. As for other exercises, no. I just bought an elliptical, but other than that all I'm doing is running. I will def take all this…
  • I agree that parents play a big role. I used to work at a fast food place and I remember we had quite a few regulars. One woman and her two daughters I will never forget. I'm sure this may surprise some ppl (then again, maybe it won't) but that woman brought her kids in everyday, usually twice a day. The oldest girl…
  • Oh my gosh...same. exact. issue. I'm 5'3" and 138lbs. These last 5 to 10 lbs are killing me. Same calorie amount/day as you also. I'm def going to follow this to see what's suggested. Good luck to you!! Hope you (we) find some answers! :flowerforyou:
  • I just finished it!! I noticed a difference physically around halfway of wk 2. My endurance though, I noticed that increased during the first level. I did each level 10 days.
  • First of all, give yourself a chance at what exactly???? Secondly, I enjoy the eye candy.
  • I hope he didn't cheat. I don't think he did. I read an article just a few mins ago about this and it doesn't seem like they have any hard evidence to prove what they claim. Just because he gave up the fight doesn't mean he's guilty. It specifically says in the article I read on MSN that they took that as an admission of…
  • Loved him in Dogma
  • Oh, and if you can't tell from my ticker, I'm a bit of a Chevy Chase fan as well. Circa the Fletch and Caddyshack era.
  • Bruce Campbell?!! Some faith in humanity has been restored! I just watched My Name Is Bruce the other night. How can you not love this man?
  • YES to this!! I've also had a huge crush on Adam Sandler for years. Oh and Tom Delonge (blink 182, boxcar racer, angels and airwaves).
  • I've deleted ppl...but not because they quit logging. I started noticing how "obsessive" they became, about their own diaries and mine. If I ate a cookie, I got reamed for it. If I had an off day on my workout, I had a few friends who would act like everything I've done so far was for nothing. I understand the need for…
  • It's not strange. I was going to the gym with a few coworkers and due to shift changes and the fact the gym owners weren't taking proper care of the equipment, I began working out on my own. I've had more progress in the past 1/2 of a yr than I did in almost a whole yr at the gym. Congrats on your improvments!
  • I'll admit that's the main reason I'm doing it. Getting healthier is an added bonus. lol!
  • Thank you for posting!! I only have 5 to 10 more lbs to reach goal and it's taking FOREVER!!
  • Thanks. I've been logging it under 20 mins. I guess it's better to underestimate than overestimate.
  • Thanks! I'm currently at 1420 calorie limit now. I'm going to stick with MFP's suggested numbers. I've lost a few lbs and several inches doing that, so it maybe a little slower than some other ppl's results, but I'm getting there.
  • I've already started 30ds, but was wondering if you guys log the workout length as 20 mins or 30 mins? I read on another thread that with the warm up/cool down its about 30 mins long.
  • Oops I forgot the link!!! lol http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12
  • Maybe this link will help. I read it the other day because I'm having a hard time understanding the whole TDEE, BMR thing too. I'm such a noob at this! Hope this helps. He seems to know what he's talking about. :flowerforyou:
  • Oops...Just realized I posted in wrong Topic.
  • When you figure your cut from your TDEE, you have already taken exercise into account. So, it is just a simple calorie goal every day, and you don't have to worry about eating exercise calories back. Also, you would recalculate your TDEE and cut each time you lose 10 lbs. If you are eating too often at your BMR, you are…
  • Ah, you answered my question as I posted it!!
  • So do I set my calories for the day at 1656 BEFORE I work out or is that calorie total AFTER working out?
  • Thank you Kairisika. :flowerforyou: Most helpful advice.
  • Yeah, I could totally see how reading every forum in here could drive you crazy. I'm just going to buckle down and work with my health and wellness coach. I really need to work on my carbs and sugars. I eat a lot of fresh fruit and I think that maybe part of the issue (?). I eat only whole wheat/whole grain. No soda or…
  • Thanks for the advice. I'm not giving up...I just got a little overwhelmed. I should have added...I'm currently doing 30DS. Level 3 day 4. After this I'm moving on to the Jillian Michaels/Biggest Loser Cardio dvd.
  • Just an update: I had my weigh in today and I did gain a pound. However, my body fat % dropped 1.3% and I gained about 3lbs lean weight. This has been since 7/23. I am just getting ready to start Level 3 tomorrow. Can't wait to see what happens after I finish that!
  • Oh no problem. I was driving myself crazy trying to figure it out myself. Even searching online is confusing. I figured the best place to ask is here. :flowerforyou:
