Holy moly!! I am the same height with the same goals, but I don't think it would look as good on me! You definitely have inspired me. I'm currently at 168, so I would like to lose about 33lbs. Can't wait to see your update on your daily routines.

I started this a couple months ago, but didn't finish. I made it to level 2, day 3 before I quit, so I was almost half way through. I am going to start it again tomorrow. I leave for Chicago in 2.5 weeks, so I won't be able to complete the entire thing, but I am making it a goal to do it every day, minus 1 rest day a week,…

You hit the nail on the head with your last couple of sentences. That is what has been the hardest for me working in home hospice... you spend 75% of the day driving and the other 25% (for me) is somewhat active, but not nearly enough. Judging by what you have already been doing, you will LOVE hospice! I can't imagine…

Wow, I missed your last post before I posted my reply. How crazy that you're going into hospice as well! I will tell you now, it doesn't get any easier, but I do pack lunches like you mentioned. And unfortunately I do work some 12 hour shifts as well. It just depends on how many patients I have to see that day. Good luck…

I know exactly how that is, as well. I am a nursing assistant for a hospice organization and I find myself looking for "easy foods" when I eat, because I'm usually on the run, or very tired and don't feel like cooking when I get home. I've gotten better about it, but I still grab for the "nuke and go" and fast foods more…

Is anyone else having trouble with shin splints or knee pain from this? I'm a little worried that I'm going to cause an injury if I keep working out with this going on. I'm not sure if I'm doing the exercises wrong or if it's just from such steady activity after such a long time at the sedentary level. Any thoughts?

Thanks everyone. :) I have quit smoking before and I gained 35lbs in about a year from doing so. Then I ended up starting again, losing a bunch of weight and then putting some back on when I got married. I knew I wanted to quit smoking again, and I knew I needed to eat a more healthy diet, so I figured it was best to do…

Level 2, Day 2 down! Edit for day 12... lol

I made this last night and it did not turn out good. Not sure what I did wrong. Since there were no measurements on the pumpkin pie spice or sweetener, I wasn't sure how much to add and it was a bit of a guessing game. Maybe I just didn't add enough, but I wasn't pleased with it. I have enough to make it again, so…

That's what I have. It seems to be fairly accurate, and it's got some handy features. I got mine on Amazon for around $60.

That's a very positive way to look at things. I agree to an extent. And thanks, 9 for you as well. :)

You guys are so nice and supportive here. When I read the title of the thread, I thought to myself "hmm, I wonder if this will be harsh", but then I read through some of the posts and 95% of them were 8+. I think that's sweet, and of course most people don't want to hurt someone else's feelings, but I think it would be…

I'm doing the eat more to weigh less type of diet, and I used calculations that people were recommending there. (TDEE for cals and then manually entering your percentage of Carbs 40%, Protein 30%, and Fat 30%.) The numbers it gives me for my daily goals seem very high. Would anyone mind checking out my diary and let me…

Bump. Sounds delicious!

Thanks everyone for the helpful advice. Such an awesome community here. :)

Haha, yeah, I had oatmeal with protein mix in it tonight in an attempt to hit my cut. It actually wasn't bad. I wasn't hungry though, so it was a bit hard to force myself to eat it. I find myself using olive oil quite a bit as well. I've been reading SO much great information from this site and this group and trying to…

Lol. Yes, you're a horrible person. :P

It's my sn for pretty much everything. It came from the song "Napoleon Solo" by At the Drive-In.

I AM SO SORE! I can barely walk, no exaggeration. I feel like a huge wuss. Thought I'd be okay since I went to the gym off and on over the past 2 years, but wow, the gym did NOT compare to this torture. I've done 2 days in a row and am debating if I need to give myself a break today or if I should struggle through day 3. A…

Mine would be Tool.

I just got one and used it for the first time today. No problems yet, but glad I saw this thread in case I run into it.

I am 5'7 also. I've struggled with my weight for awhile, gaining and losing back and forth. Heaviest was 199, and lowest was 139 within the last 8 years. I am back ready to keep it off for good this time after gaining back up to 174lbs after losing to my lowest about 3 years ago. Here are some pics to show the progress...…

Thanks to both of you and good luck in your goals, as well. :)

Sounds like you're doing great, that's awesome. Hopefully I do as well. :) Thanks for the response!

This is my first post here, but I just joined MFP a week or so ago and just started tracking every day and eating right about 3 days ago. I am doing a walking/jogging routine, but thought I would start doing the 30 Day Shred as well. I'm in for June 1st. :)
