Thank you :-) Started my 10k training yesterday :-)

Shoes are so so so important! That cannot be stressed enough, I'd take a break and get some proper shoes, and then try again, make sure you stretch and do lots of walking to warm up and cool down, when I very very first started I was 40lbs heavier and I found the 5 min warm ups and cooldowns were not enough I had to do at…

I have a lovely little red dress for works xmas do, its just over a size down from what I am now, at that inbetween stage currently which is annoying!
-
I totally mix it up, I run a lot, lift weights, box, spin, body con classes, aqua aerobics, swim, and generally work out at the gym. And now I'm tired just reading that back lol.
-
I just completed it, and couldnt run to save my life! Im now starting the 10k program :-)
-
I've just graduated C25K and have booked in for a 10k in May, so thats my main fitness goal.
-
When I started running I was 18.7st, just graduated C25K, and looking at doing a 10k app now, for a run in May. Repeat weeks if necessary I did, if I couldnt cope (W1 killed me!!!) I stopped and done what I could and kept repeating it. I'm currently 15.8st, and run for 30 mins a time now after doing the C25K app, just take…

I lost 2 lbs this week, so very happy as not been as good as I should be with eating nor exercise!
-
I've been a bit erratic this week, not quite met the amount of exercise I'd like to have, nor have I done the fruit and veg! EEKK
-
Fantastic, I think Im in, I'll just stay over the night before lol!
-
Thank you for all your lovely comments everyone :-) Yes, slowing down has been the key, so at the moment I'm running for 30 mins, and will see how that goes, and eventually set for 5k exactly in whatever time it takes, I've got RunDouble for the C25K, so will use the 10k progression app after I've actually completed the 5k…
-
It is, I cant believe Im here lol! Oh glad to hear you done the slow down approach too :-) I want to get it a bit faster eventually, and do a 5k run, and maybe work upto a 10k next? Need an app for that :-)
-
Yep its brilliant, been a godsend on sorting my calf out! Also use the Power Plate at the gym as a massage on my calfs sometimes, works effectively.
-
Hi Tevis :-) I've used that workout before, brilliant :-)

-
Fantastic, congrats to you both :-)
-
Its amazing, how it works! I went to D1 W9 today, and really made sure I pulled right back speed wise to make it through!
-
I know how you feel, I have to get bus for 10 minutes then walk 25 to my gym, and vice versa, but I decided I just needed to do it no matter what, although work is playing havoc with it at the moment, so I do run, and use home workouts in between, hoping that in the next few weeks I can get back to the routine, although…

I remember those days, wondering how on earth I could run for 1 minute AND breath!lol Im on W8 now, 28 minutes running and breathing oddly enough comes naturally lol!
-
Well done you, it feels great doesnt it? I've just got to my 28 minute runs, and although I really really have to push myself to complete them, once I have the feeling is fantastic :-)
-
Thats fantastic, well done :-) Im on W8 of C25K, and once I've nailed that, want to move to the 10K one :-)
-
Ive been so busy, joined the group and not got into it yet, going to try and start properly from this week if thats ok with you guys? :-)
-
I eat whatever I want, just within reason, and I still consistently lose weight, but everyone is different, some people may find they need to eliminate certain food groups to lose, maybe I'll find in time that I need to, but at the moment it works great :-)
