I'm exhausted just reading that!! I wonder if I burned any calories... ? LOL Congrats. :)

I see numbers like 1,000-1,200 calories burned for 80 minutes of swimming or water jogging, moderate pace. I'm assuming b/c of my weight (high), those numbers are much greater than a person of average weight, but even so, that seems strangely high. I don't adjust my caloric intake based on exercise though...I eat the same…

Thanks!! I've got those... Love me some Flo...:)

I love Titanium too! Thanks :) Holy *kitten*, I just saw your banner.... CONGRATULATIONS!!! Amazing :):):)

I don't have any idea what the correct numbers would look like but mine seem CRAZY HIGH! If they are correct, yay for me but it seems almost impossible. LOL

Thanks again!!! I"m like a kid in a candy shop!! (bad analogy in a fitness forum, my bad) :)~

I'm obsessed with Blurred Lines...already got it! Thanks for the others too! :)

I would but I don't have that kind of iPod. I have the crappy little one because it's waterproof and the other one doesn't work well in the pool. Thanks though! I've got lots of new music to check out now.

Absolutely!! I'm so excited! Y'all are the best!
-
Thanks!!! I have a few of those but will check out all the rest!! (•‿•)

LOL awww, I"m sorry! I'm like an alien because I'm in Texas and hate country music!! :)~ Except a few Taylor Swift songs....

Wow... a trifecta! LOL... I'm no expert but I'd say the last 3 would do it, BIGTIME! Any one of those, singly, could do it but all 3 together... probably adds up to 11 lbs. I would be careful with your salt, drink a bit more water and weigh again after your period. It will probably be gone. :) Good luck!

Hi!! Don't be scared!!! I've been swimming for about 2 years now and you will LOVE IT! You don't have to start off doing "real swimming." You can choose the most shallow lane and start off walking or jogging. Depending on your gym, they should have lots of accessories... arm rings (floaties for adults) LOL... foam…

Ok thanks. My cholesterol and triglycerides have always been really good... shockingly so, considering my weight. We'll see what happens with those numbers. Will be curious about that. :) AMAZING drop in your numbers... so weird!!

I'm eating eggs (yolks too), laughing cow light, regular cheddar, lean beef, salmon, chicken, tuna, atkins shakes, My Fit Foods low carb meals once a day, etc...definitely not slopping on extra fat...other than the full fat cheese. Which I should probably cut out. I only added it because the calories were too low without…

I'm in ketosis (yay!!). I guess I just need to surrender to the plan and ignore the scary high number of fat grams. I'm going to get frequent blood work to make sure everything looks good but the scale is making me happy so I'll try and enjoy the weight loss and pray for the best! :) Thanks so much!! And congrats on your…

LOL sorry, I guess I wasn't clear. I meant I might have to get my CALORIES up from 1,100 closer to 1,500 now that I'm swimming... burning approx 1,500 calories/day 5 times a week. No, the point of this post is I'm trying to get my fat grams DOWN. I was seeking lower fat, low (or no) carb foods. Must be all the endorphins…

Thanks, I'll read that website. I just called my Dr's office and he's going to refer me to a Nutritionist since I don't know what I'm doing!! I've been excited that I'm able to stay at 20 grams of carbs and losing lots of weight but when I sync'd my UP band to MFP, it showed me different numbers like cholesterol and sat…

I smoked for a very long time. At my highest, probably 2 packs a day but on average, 1. I quit when I started swimming. It effected my breathing so adversely, I didn't have a choice. It became either smoke or exercise. I had quit several times between 2008-2010. Even though I caved, each time I quit became easier and…

Oops, I hit the "report" button accidentally!! I hope that didn't go through. Anyway, congrats!! I love the motivating stories on this MB. So encouraging. :)

Welcome! Day 1 here too. Ok, my story real quick since I hope to be here for quite a while... I am (was?) on my way to getting clearance for bypass surgery. I've had lots of tests, now just waiting to see my Dr. in 3 weeks. Last Wednesday my cousin also had bypass surgery. As of today, he is STILL in ICU after suffering…

LOL... Be my guest. I didn't' even think of that being the reason for my crankiness. Makes perfect sense. I could look for a .gif of lips covered in beef tenderloin but it might take a bit longer.

This is my first post so I'll be nice. :flowerforyou: However, I must warn you. I'm on day 3 of my new "low carb llifestyle" (trying to remove the word "diet" from my vocabulary.) Someone mentioned popcorn on a reply and I swear, my mouth watered. Good grief. :grumble: Anyway, people on the internet are mean for a variety…
