  • How's everyone doing?? I've gotten in 3 of my 4 workouts so far this week - but it's going to be hard to fit one more in this weekend - I'm studying for my finals in one of my summer nursing classes - 62 chapters to read - doesn't leave much time for anything!! but i'm going to try....... Let me know how y'all are doing!
  • I'm going to start a new thread for us 100+ in the Motivation/Support section. Let's call this week one and start a challenge. Who's in? What shall we call ourselves?
  • Welcome!
  • LeanLioness - I'm so sorry!! My husband is a good 70 lbs lighter than me and it kills my self-esteem knowing that. We depend on our spouses tremendously for constant support and to hear those words has to be heart-breaking. . . Keep up the fight FOR YOURSELF!!! :flowerforyou: You're worth it!
  • Wow - great group - I'm in! I have about 120 to lose (realistically) - shall we start an actual thread and do weekly goals? Accountability is my friend in this weight loss journey and so sharing with a group who understands what I'm going thru would be amazing. What shall we call ourselves?
  • yes, grilled is the only way I do it and it's awesome!!!!
  • You can walk into a public restroom toliet and just close the door behind you without having to maneuver your body to close the door!
  • Thanks everyone! I didn't realize how versatile they were! I love trying new recipes and this certainly should keep me busy for awhile!
  • maybe this has been said - but when you pass by a mirror and actually stop to check yourself out instead of running quickly past it.
  • you have to buy new clothes because the "skinny" clothes in storage are sooo out of date!
  • I have leg bands and I do thigh squeezes, etc. at my desk. It helps me "squeeze" in a few more minutes of exercise a day!
  • Do you weigh yourself everyday? I can relate to what you're going thru because I can easily get scale-obsessive and worry too much about the number and not how I'm feeling or how my clothes are fitting. . . especially if you weigh everyday. 15 lbs is a HUGE accomplishment. You'll have to prepare yourself for the times when…
  • my favorite way to eat Greek yogurt is in a curry stew with cauliflower, chickpeas, carrots, and brown rice (and a dash of fresh cilantro on top). It pairs wonderfully with curry!!
  • I totally agree - I weighed myself this morning and told myself that will be the last time for a month. I get scale-obsessive and that turns into reallllly bad eating choices. Thanks very much for your encouraging words!
  • Thank you! You've been very encouraging - I reallllllly appreciate all the well-wishes!
  • CasperO - Thank you! This is exactly what I'm looking for. It may seem basic to some, but I need help retraining myself. I really appreciate the effort you took to write this long email. I'll be referencing it for months to come! Congrats on your success - it must feel wonderful!
  • Nhoffman - Thank you for your quick reply! Yes, portion control is definitely my downfall. I , too, enjoy food - I love baking, I love cooking and trying recipes from other countries, I also love cooking for people. I have a collection of tried and true recipes about 18" thick. I would love if it you could share some of…
  • congrats on your success! How did you start? Thanks for your post - it's very encouraging knowing I don't have to do this alone like I always tried to in the past. Have a great day!
