Yes I was going from eating extremely low cals to extremely high. So i've probably messed up my metabolism. I'm going to try and balance my diet out and be consistent. I will stay away from the foods that make me binge.

I go spinning 1x a week and do jillians 30ds 2-3x a week. I want to take up boxing soon.

Thanks. I have decided against it, i don't think i'd do too well on this. I love fruit and veg too much! I am lowering carbs to just 60grams a day though. ooh no, what are the pancakes?? :)

I had this. Last year ended up just 6 and a half stone (my height is 5'8) I was in hospital and really ill, but I couldn't understand as I thought I was the healthy one. It started off just being 'healthy' but before I knew it took over. I'm fully recovered now, but it is so scary as you don't even realise its happening…

I think it's best to eat proper meals, it's prob out of conveince others do that.
-
I have cut sugar out before (I mean all including fruit, wheat etc) and I never onced craved it. Once I have a little bit, I go crazy. Maybe its more a mental issue?
-
Yes, same, that was me like a only a month ago. I'm always tempted to go back to eating little but then I know it will lead to binging. I've been balancing at around 1200 and feel way better. I always struggle with sweat cravings though.
-
Thanks for the replies. I think from tomorrow i'm going to just go cold turkey and cut it all out, even fruit.

I think people are missing the point of the OP's post. She means overweight people who do not recognise // try to change. Not people who are trying to lose on this website.
-
Thanks for your input! That could work actually, I'm really competitve and if I say i'm doing something I like to see it through. Hmmm I could maybe get someone to challenge me not to eat sweet foods for a time peirod.
-
Yes that sounds like me. I think Im struggling more now than ever as I'm off uni for the summer and dont have much to do other than my job one day a week. I'm getting a bit depressed as last summer I was away for the 3 months so i'm in a rut more than ever.

I agree, I'm just a stone over the weight i'm comfortable with and I feel horrible, and more determined to be more healthy. So I wonder how don't people want to change? (THIS IS NOTHING TO ANYONE ON HERE, EVERYONE ON HERE IS TRYING TO CHANGE AND I RESPECT THAT) I mean some people I personally know, who are young and…

Sorry to hear that. Mine is not that serious just yet, i'm still not overweight but it's the mental aspect I hate of it. It's like I know how to eat healthy so why can't I? I have to be 'all or nothing.'
-
Thanks for your replies :) I have decided against it, i'm just going to stick with a balanced 'clean' diet as I don't think my mental state would be right for it, I have only just recovered after doing a low carb one previously. I was stupid for thinking this would be the answer again. You can't short cut eating right and…

Thanks for your replies. I think I'm going to try it, it sound simular to a diet i've previously done (except without the attack phase) and it really curbed my cravings. Just unsure as to how to structure my eating for the day. I don't eat red meat either!
-
Thanks. I struggle with sugar cravings really bad so I think this may help it alot, as other carbs make me crave sugar/sweets! Did you eat alot whilst in the attack phase?
-
Hmm, thanks for your reply! I was considering it as I'm an 'all or nothing' type person, after the diet I was going to go to a healthy clean diet but don't want to gain all back even when eating healthy.
-
BUMP! Any advice really appreciated
-
Thanks for the replies everyone! I will set my ratio's to 40/30/30 and work on hitting them. Going to swap to fuller fat dairy and add more grains/ good fats.

http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/jodiec92 for anyone interested ^^ that was my expeirence with the diet. I blogged about it

Thank you. So would you reccommend more complex carbs, like say brown rice or quinona with my salad? I'm so angry that I fell for the faddy stuff, but atleast i've now recognised it. Wish I found this group sooner. I have fat free greek yoghurt as it has slightly more protein, should I switch to full?
-
Yes, I don't think its really bad but I don't think my mental state was right for it. I planned to have 3 shakes and 1 low carb meal a day but I only would have 1 or 2 at most and tried to restrict, if you done it proberly I do think it'd of been ok.
-
Was just wondering if anyone had been through a simular position as had any advice on getting back on track. I fell for fad diets which now I can see where not good considering what I had been through.
-
Thank you. I will add a smothie after working out definitley :) hmm, yes you're right I do eat kind of small servings, I'm a bit scared of carbs since attempting a low carb diet previously. However that did NOT work out so well and messed me up.
-
Thanks everyone for the replies. After trying this (which was over a month ago when I first posted) I have realised it is not a good idea after experiencing horrible effects. I was looking for a short cut, and there are none, which I realised the hard way. I'm now focusing on eating sensible and exercising, nothing to…
-
I'm not doing this diet, it was a short term fix which I thought I would try, and I have learned that it is not a good idea. I'm focusing on clean eating now and taking a more balanced approach.

Thanks! Yes, I drink plently of water and I will increase my vege portions.
