Hi,
Firstly I am 5'8 and weigh 160pounds. I started on here at 140 (I have gone up thanks to low cabr which led to binging and repeat) I have finally got out of that cycle and don't know where to go diet wise from here. I want to lose the 20pounds.
I don't have any intolerances but do however binge when eating chcolate // sugary foods.
Does anyone have any advice as what to do diet wise?

What kind of exerices, and how much, do you do? Also do you track? I noticed there isn't anything listed in your diary. What types of foods do you normally eat?0

I go spinning 1x a week and do jillians 30ds 2-3x a week.
I want to take up boxing soon.0 -
According to this calculator http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/, using age, weight, height, and exercise, you should be eating 2171 calories to maintain, or a deficit of 1845 to lose 15% body fat. You can run your numbers to make sure. If you've been eating at a super low deficit, you may want to go to maintenance for a time, and then cut.0

You sound good on your exercise. I would really stay away from your trigger foods (the ones that make you want to binge) and then I agree with the tracking. Be honest with your self we tend to underestimate how much we eat and overestimate how much we move. I know I am trying to lose the 15lbs I gained. I am really trying to be honest with myself on what I am doing.
Find an alternative to your trigger food or a lower calorie version of them, AND KEEP MOVING...YOU CAN DO IT.
And don't be too hard on yourself, I know I am my own worst enemy.0 -
Yes I was going from eating extremely low cals to extremely high. So i've probably messed up my metabolism.
I'm going to try and balance my diet out and be consistent. I will stay away from the foods that make me binge.0 -
I see sawed my weight for most of my adult life but always had a puffed out stomach. I finally decided to see a gastro last year and found out I have gluten intolerance. So I got out a lot of carbs. I can still eat potatoes, rice and corn but I try to do so sparingly because I am tracking calories, etc. When I did that I was able to really start losing weight. I'm not suggesting you have any kind of intolerance. I just noticed that when I cut those things out, it really helped - no pasta, pizza or Italian bread. Which are of course all my favorite foods. It came down to the fact that those foods were really hurting me. So think about it in terms of the food that is causing you harm. Just like you wouldn't stay in a relationship with someone who has hurting you - you have to stop having a relationship with any food that can cause you harm.0
