  • Ummm. No. Can't say anyone has come on to me here. LoL. I don't post a pic of myself online mainly because i hate that it is there forever but there are other benefits as well.
  • I'm on day 3. I keep forgetting to take measurements. I will post them if i remember.
  • I just completed my first half in October. I am a fairly new runner too. I started running last year (up to 3 miles). For training, i googled half marathon training and a lot of different programs came up. Just find one that works for you. I ran at least 3 times a week, sometimes 4 and one day was a long run (Sundays for…
  • If it is a recipe i cook a lot, i enter it as a recipe then next time i find it in my data base and choose it. I do this for a lot of my recipes now and it saves a lot of time.
  • I walk on my lunch breaks. But i also work out at home in the evening. I really hate a desk job. It is so easy to pack on the pounds if you don't watch it
  • Wow, $20 huh? Hmm i guess for me it would be chicken breasts and broccoli. I would grill a bunch of chicken breasts to pack for lunch along with a vegetable. I would also go for oatmeal, eggs, and a fruit (my favorite is apples) and if i had money left it would be cottage cheese.
  • bumping to read later
  • OMG that looks like so much fun!! As far as i know there are not any races like that here. But then i have never looked either. I will be watching for them now though
  • Guess i should have read....glad you got help!
  • Can you call your dr and talk to a nurse? I do that sometimes if i am not sure if i need to go in. They should tell you if you need to be seen right away or can wait. I did not read all 5 pages here so sorry if it is a repeat or if you have gotten help already. I wish you the best though.
  • It is hard to hit your goals exact, i am under a lot (and over too). I guess it would depend on how much under. If it is just a little bit i would not worry about it. But if it is a lot i would say get a bit closer.
  • We love the tortilla pizzas in the summer. We make them on the grill. They work for a large group of people too, just have all the ingredients on the table and everyone makes their own. They are always a hit and they are very yummy! I sometimes make them in a toaster oven as well and they turn out ok but best on the grill.
  • I would just log it as best as possible and keep going. I would not stress over it though. I have plenty of days i go over but i still log for my own record.
  • I tried these today and the ones that turned out were really good. Most of them stuck to the wax paper though. Has anyone else had this happen? Should i have used anything else for the bottom of the tray?
  • I got 530 calories if using a 13x9 pan cut into 12 squares without the cool whip on top. Definitely special occasion only!
  • Looks delish! Probably not low calorie, but one for the cookbook though. The name says it all!
  • I think we have a winner!
  • That is the part that bothers me the most. People assume because you eat at 1200 calories that you don't know how to calculate how much you need or didn't bother doing it. It really does get old hearing about it all the time. that was suppose to be under a quote where someone says how to calculate your calories.
  • Bread is one of my weaknesses too. I really avoid it now because I have a hard time having just one. (Especially warm from the oven.......) For the occasional sandwich i buy Brownberry double protein bread. One slice has like 10 g protein. It is really good too. I love a pb & j on it.
  • You are never going to make someone change. You will drive yourself crazy. He has to want to do it for himself. It's like trying to make someone quit smoking, as much as you want it, they have to want it more. If you were overweight and someone told you to lose weight would that motivate your to lose it? Probably not, you…
  • What is really nice about creating a recipe is the next time you make that soup its in there. I enter recipes for the meals i make often, makes life much easier!
  • I am not at home so i don't have the exact recipe but this is the one i use: ww.shutterbean.com/2009/make-your-own-freezer-burritos/ 10 tortillas 6 oz ground beef 1/5 cup blac beens 1/2 cup tomatoes 1 cup minute rice 3 oz mozz. cheese 6 oz greek yogurt 228 calories, 30 carbs, 7 fat, 13 protein, 1 fiber.
  • someone posted on here the beef and burrito recipe that i absolutely love. I keep a bunch in the freezer and just grab one for lunch most days. They are around 200 calories. If you don't have the recipe i can post it. Another one i like is soup. I make a large batch and use a muffin tin and a slotted spoon and put all the…
  • We buy bags of snack size chocolate and i usually allow myself one after dinner. It is typically 80 calories but it stops the sweet craving for me.
  • bumping for later. i may have a few to add
  • Both of those are better than the scale anyway! Congrats!
  • Personally, i would stay at the 1500 calories. I punched in your numbers quick and come up with a tdee of 1900 and 1533 to lose (which is probably what you were at in the beginning). I think you just need to be consistent. I don't do a cheat day (at least not on purpose but do have a lot of days where i go over) but i know…
  • Do you have a buddy that can help you out? This is one my dad did to a friend of his that owns a bar. His friend was bar tending one night and my dad pretended to be drunk. When his friend was not looking he poured a can of stew on the bar then pretended to be passed out next to it. His friend was really mad and put on…
  • I would say start there. Make yourself plan your day, every day for 30 days. It takes 20 days to become habit so you should have no problem after that. I find it is so easier to say no to the treats that are always in the break room if i have something in the fridge. (i plan for breakfast, mid morning snack, lunch and an…
