  • I recommend the tuna salad, but I would suggest swapping out the mayo for plain greek yogurt.
  • Neither of those things, a muffin or pancake, are really all that bad for you in the grand scheme of things provided you are not loading them up with sugar and such. If you were eating candy/cookies and/or drinking pop, then I would tell you to stop. But otherwise don't feel guilty.
  • Honestly, other people will notice before you do.
  • Water, potassium, and use a roller.
  • I think they're reacting Malteaster's post without reading the fact they are from the United Kingdom and would therefore not be aware of Adderall because it is not available there. You can't. But interesting fun fact, you used to be able to get methamphetamines for weight loss from a doctor too.
  • How our blood sugar levels react to it. Because the sugar you add as about 4x the effect of the sugar in the strawberry. The more strawberries you eat like that, the greater the effect will be pronounced. And at this point I wish you bon voyage to Zandalar.
  • Actually, I did. His question was "what is the difference between added sugar and natural sugar?". I first answered by pointing out it is impossible for a person to just get the sugar out of an apple and listed the things that come with it in the process of consuming the apple. Always nice to know the little added perks.…
  • There is no link to an actual study so take this article, the fact it is coming from FoxNews aside, and take it with a grain of salt. We cannot see what factors were measured like body composition which would be a big one, or how many people were even in the experimental groups and control groups.

  • One thing you can do manually is to use a different calculator to add the extra weight to your body weight and then enter in that number rather than letting MFP calculate for you. You'll get into the ball park with it.
  • Treat the juice as medicine and walk a bit more.
  • And I answered you, please refer back to the glycemic load, which I accidentally referred to as "index" above. That will show you the difference. So please explain why there is nearly a 400% jump in glycemic load between an apple and a regular-sized snickers bar even though they have relatively the same amount of sugar.
  • Actually, they did answer the question with fiber and nutrients. Because it is impossible to get the "10 grams of apple sugar" without eating the apple to get it which contains fiber, Vitamins A/C/E/K, Potassium, Omega 3/6 fatty acids, and 191g of water in a large apple. Also, the sugar in a snickers bar is processed which…
  • They meant absent a physical or psychological reason not to such as celiac or a CTA.

  • It's annoying because you're looking for justification to eat crap from the sound of things and not liking the fact you're told that it is not possible. Sorry, but it's a fact of life and how our bodies work. You cannot out-exercise a bad diet. Period. You will end up with the aforementioned "skinny fat".

  • They are the staple of my workout regime. I love them. Even got an app on my iPad to show me more exercise demos beyond what the trainer showed me. Already have doubled my carries and squats and tripled my swings.

  • Eating bad an losing weight gets you "skinny fat". You'll have a number on the scale that might be appealing, but you will still have a higher fat makeup in your body comp. No matter if the scale says 500 lbs, 250lbs, or 180 lbs, 50% body fat is undesirable. The thing is though, you do not articulate WHY you do not like…

  • Try roasting vegetables. I used to say I hate veggies too, but my intake of them increased exponentially after I started having them roasted. You should force yourself to eat more of the stuff little by little. Part of the issue could be the bacteria living in your digestive system. A study last year found that we are…

  • Just make sure they are more functional movements. I changed gyms from a machine-based one (school fitness center) to a more Crossfit type and the difference is vast. I am doing squats without any additional weight and they're tougher then when I was using a machine and adding 80 pounds. I probably worked out more in the…
  • A lot has been said but I will add my two cents in. First and foremost, and this will be harsh, you set yourself up for this. If seeing you at the meeting place was his first time, that is a huge mistake. Think of attraction as a triad of physical, intellectual, and emotional characteristics. When the mix is right, the…
  • Anything high fat/high sugar that isn't that way naturally is a bad food. And even then you shouldn't be eating much of it.
  • I like RunKeeper because of the GPS bugs out, I can use GoogleMaps as a backup with clicking and snapping to streets.
  • One thing I noticed is there is no picture of the body you would want.
  • I switched to Almond Milk as well. The trick is if you want the lower calories, you have to buy the unsweetened version. But even if you forget to check as I have a couple of times, you're still good as sweetened has the same number of calories as skim milk in that regard. I now use it on cereals, in baking, etc. I started…
  • I figured those calculations for me were a little off. I will keep that formula in mind when I get down more. Depending on how insane I get with my walks, I can get pretty down there in terms of net calories. For example last Monday I did a 6 mile walk burning off 1400 calories and only ate 2400 so my net was 1000.
  • My personal preference is for protein shots. You can slam them fast, chase them with water, and they do not taste as nasty as some powders. Plus they come pre-mixed.
  • One suggestion I saw in Men's Health a while back was that mint was an appetite suppressant so chewing sugar-free gum or brushing your teeth would help.
  • The problem with the paleolithic diet is that it assumes humans have not evolved since the paleolithic era. We have (for example the reason humans back then could not drink milk and we can is because humans evolved the ability to process lactose throughout our lives as opposed to through a certain stage of development.…
  • I generally do not eat them all back. At my size and the insanity of my exercises (2+ hour walks), it is virtually impossible for me to eat back calories without eating really bad.
  • My walks are automatically recorded in RunKeeper since I can use either my phone's GPS receiver or a Google Map to track distance.
  • That's what my thought was, but it does take into account at the middle two levels that one will not be exercising every day. That's where my confusion comes from.
