Thank you so much for telling me this. I'm over 50 & all the usual induction rules are not working for me anymore. I'm constantly in ketosis but only lost 2 lbs in 6 weeks. Meanwhile my 28 yr old daughter lost 30 lbs in a month & a half.

i was only drinking black coffee & then i slipped into cream & flavoring & then I also slipped into a couple of glasses of merlot red wine & now I have been stalled for 3 weeks.

Okay - I'm REALLY getting frustrated here! I have been staying in the 20 - 25 carb per day range & I can't move past 146. It's like my new set point is 146. I tend to think that you have to have some higher carb days or your body will adjust to really low carb intake & stop losing. I've been eating out the past week but still staying low carb - but more food - so I haven't gained, but haven't lost either.

I just finished 2nd week of Induction & I noticed a stall in my weightloss when I did ANY of the NET CARB baloney. I ended up not drinking diet soda, no Atkins bars or snacks either. Just ice water & unsweet ice tea to drink & stayed under 20 carbs & 1300 calories. I'm down 8 lbs. today & NOT HUNGRY! I feel very in control…

I have found that calories must stay around 1200 & carbs below 20 & no processed food like Atkins shakes & bars. This has worked better for me than all the other times I've tried to do Atkins. Two days into it my bloated tummy went down & I'm losing a pound per day this first week.

I have been on Atkins for 3 weeks & I use the bars & shakes both. It seemed at first they stalled me & upset my stomach but I have lost 7 lbs so far. I typically eat a bar for breakfast & an endulge bar for a snack in the afternoon. I find that as long as I stay under 1300 calories & 20 grams of carbs I keep losing.

Hi All, I'm 52 & post menopausal & Atkins is the ONLY way I can lose weight. It's definitely harder than when I was young, but the best part of Atkins is your not hungry after a while. I'm down 7 lbs in 3 weeks of induction. Tami

I'm on my third week & finding it's easier for me to stick to Atkins because I'm not as hungry as other diet plans. Also it's easier to cook for my husband & just add carbs in for him. I've been cooking a little more than I usually do, & I really have to plan well, but it helps to have the Atkins bars & drinks available…
