  • So should I strap something like that when I run to make it daylight out? LOL I would definitely be a beacon and people will be looking for sure!
  • Kathleen, I try my best to post everyday. And if i see one of friends has accomplished something fantastic or they are struggling with something I definitely chime in and help them out. I may not comment on everyday when you complete your food diary or you burn calories. I don't comment all the time on those events because…
  • Still need to lose a bit to get to the 230, I fluctuate on weighing in. I weigh in probably 3 times a week to keep myself in check. I didn't weigh myself for about 2 months and I gained back everything I had lose except for 1 pound,

  • Ian, Welcome aboard. Never think that being at a healthy weight "looks" too skinny. Also, getting rid of anything naughty tonight does not mean you need to eat it all. You can just throw it away or donate it to a food bank. The most important thing is to track everything you bite, lick, or taste so that you are honest with…
  • Made these tonight and my 3 year old loved them! We called them crabby patties Ingredients: 1 pound lean ground turkey 1 pkg. Hidden Valley Ranch Salad Dressing and Seasoning Mix 2-4 drops Tabasco sauce 1 egg, large (lightly beaten) 5 lite hamburger buns Directions: In blender or small food processor, make breadcrumbs from…
  • That is quite a tall order. But stop for a minute and breath! You can make anything happen if you put your mind to it. First you need a plan! What changes can you easily make? Like do you drink soda? Give it up and replace it with water. Bam 5-10 pounds gone easily. As for how much water should you drink well try this…
  • I totally should add preparing food ahead to my goals as well. Guess maybe this is a good idea to think about every week. They say all you have to do is change one bad habit at a time and it can change your life.
  • Wow, that sounds really tough. I was a single mom once upon a time and I found then that I actually was more selfish and took time for myself. I don't do that as much now that I am married. He has a way of convincing me it is more fun to watch TV or go out to eat than to exercise. I am working on stress eating myself. If…
  • My goals for the week: 1. Plan a menu 2. GO to the grocery store (this is where I always get tripped up) 3. Log daily 4. Restart C25K
  • Girl... I hear ya! I am back today because I fell to the ground and got ran over by the wagon. How bout you follow which diet is easiest for you. Personally I too have tried them all. I know that honestly if I keep my calories in check and my exercise up I will lose. It will be slow but I will lose. There is no magic diet…
  • Well as we are all trying to figure out what works best for us, my advice is come here and come here often. I lost my way recently because I quit logging and quit checking in with people who were making me accountable for my actions. The community on this site is awesome. So make friends and stick with it. Remember there…
  • Well I am back after a few months of craziness. Feel free to add me.

  • Hey where can I get that twinkie and vodka diet??? I am a big fan of both. Do I dip the twinkie in the vodka or is the vodka just for a chaser? I love this post!!!
  • Well welcome (back) both of you! Feel free to add me. I log daily and try to post often.
  • Week 0 = 252.8 Couldn't get to the computer yesterday, but this is yesterdays weigh in. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!
  • Wow this is a good idea... 1. Lose 20 lbs by Christmas 2. Log everyday no matter if its a good day or a bad day 3. Walk 30 minutes daily!!! 4. go to the gym 3-4 times a week... 3 for sure but 4 if I can swing it 5. Try to stay within my calorie range daily, if not daily then at least weekly!
  • Today I am thinking about how many calories I need to burn at the gym so I can eat dinner. I over did it at lunch.. lol
  • This is a great motivational story, thank you for sharing it. I will be removing clothes that are too big for me from closet and also never going back. I am tired of living like this. I hope you make wonderland very soon! I see you are just a pound away from your new knees. Do you still need them?
  • OP~~ I am the other side of the spectrum. For months I had hyperthyroidism and didn't know it, but I was gaining weight at a rapid weight because I was constantly starving and not the kind of starving you can ignore. The kind where people could die if you do not eat. When they finally tested my TSH didn't even show up. SO…
  • Hi- I'm Anita, I turned 40 this year. Ugh! I have always been overweight but I had always managed to keep my clothes fitting. Something happened with 40 and I ballooned up even more and now none of my clothes fit comfortably. I weight myself this morning and I am 250.8 that is down 9 pounds from when I started 2.5 weeks…
  • I am in... This can be fun!
  • I too have my work cut for me. Not because I have some crazy goal like running a marathon (LOL I hate running, just not my thing), but because I have a lot of weight to lose and I have tried and failed so many times. I really trying this time to keep focused and not life be my excuse for not succeeding. I too am 5'3"…
  • I too have about hundred pounds to lose. I am 5'3" and weighing in at 253 this week. That is so much weight for my little frame. Feel free to add me, I try to log everyday (accept the occasional cheat day) I am currently trying to do the 1200-1240 calorie range. That feels sooo restrictive right now.
  • Hi there new MFP friend. I am good company and a good listener. I give great advice that I never listen to! So I will motivate you and in return you can motivate me. Here's to pushing eachother along!
