"My bad" It's like fingernails on a chalkboard for me!

I weigh officially once a week (on Fridays) - but unofficially first thing every day. I don't get obsessed, but for me it is a guide. That way I don't get frustrated or discouraged if I haven't lost what I planned by the end of the week. When I only did the weekly weigh-in, and had what I thought was a great week, and lost…

Hopefully you don't drive for a living. If you do, please don't nap at work.

I understand your frustration, but you (and she) can't change the past. Living with that kind of anger is also bad for you. It leaves your body in constant stress, and that also makes it hard to lose fat - especially in the belly area. Who knows why parents make some of the choices they do for the their kids. As some have…

That doesn't sound good. Hope the injured recovers quickly.

I LOVE the idea of the books in a cache. My kids always take little trinkets to trade out. Once you get an approved location, let us know the cache name.

I am 5'2". I started at 295. I have a general goal of about 145, but that is just a number to me. My ultimate goal is to have my waist under 30", and a BMI of around 22. (I am apple shape, and carry most of fat in my mid-section, so a lot of inches to lose there!) I started this for health purposes, and I need to keep…

Good News!!! The Android Nike+ App has been out for about a month or so. I did some beta testing with it, and LOVE IT!! I haven't redownloaded from the Play store. It also works with the HRM I have, but since I usually am on a treadmill, I haven't used the app much. It also uses the phone's accelerometer, so you need to…

I've used Endomondo in the past (relatively recently but last time was about a month ago). I never had questionable returns on the calories burned for my walks. I haven't upgraded, or used it in sync w/ MFP. It is all based on your accelerometer in your phone, so you do need to calibrate it to your movement the first time…

Would you join me in a shot of Patron?

I took my middle son out for a treat Friday night. I hadn't had DQ in forever, and ordered my old favorite - Peanut Buster parfait. I couldn't believe the calories on that thing when I entered in my diary later that night. Over 750!!!! Sent me on a major workout weekend, though! Did a full hour on the treadmill on…

A health scare. My blood pressure was 190/ 115. Other blood work showed I would have also been put on cholesterol meds, and diabetes meds. My dr. worked with me to see if I could get the numbers to improve before going on the other medications - and it did. He did put me on blood pressure medication that day, and while I…

^^ This I have been married over 16 years, and with my husband for right at 19 years. My husband is much more 'passive' than I am, and I tell him if I feel like I am instigating things most for a while, and see if there is anything bothering him. There have been times during our marriage where I felt he didn't desire me as…

My GoTo breakfast is a half a sandwich and a cup of milk. It is either an egg and an ounce of cheese, or a serving of lunch meat and an ounce of cheese on one slice of whole wheat bread, with a tsp of sweet hot or honey mustard. If I don't have a few minutes to put it together at home, I stop at a convenience store. Most…

Your first statement put me off, because I have been 'stuck' for a bit, too. I think I didn't like it because you were right. It's not that anyone doesn't want it, and want it bad. It's do we want it enough!! Thanks for the great motivation!!

My goal I set earlier this week was to hit 'Onederland' by New Year's. So, 22 lbs in 13 weeks. I've not been adhering to a completely clean diet the last month, and not getting all my cardio - so I have been bouncing with two pounds. This week I am back 100% committed, and the scale is moving the right direction again!

Well Done!!! Congratulations!!!

I would love to have the tone and physique of Jessica Alba.

Now that I've lost some weight... my husband!! Yahoo!!

^^ THIS All of your life needs to be a balance. You've learned that well in your career and family. The food and exercise is also a balance. I don't look at those days I go a bit over in my calories or make less than ideal choices as 'cheats'. I try to plan for them by workout out a little bit harder the day before, day of…

Me too!! August has been a rough one for me to stay focused and 'committed'. No giving up though. I took yesterday as my kids went back to school as my fresh restart, too. I didn't slide too far, but definitely bounced within a couple of pounds. Here's to getting back to good routine, and keeping our healthy lifestyle a…

I'm getting my first one this Friday. Been thinking about it for years. It is a very nice heart with lots of intricate design, and my husband's and kids' initials within the curves and design. I got a henna rose on my ankle on our trip to Mexico this year, and I am getting that done with permanent ink, too. (Still very…

I guess my first statement of McDonald's doesn't qualify as good or healthy. However, if you find yourself there, I love this option. For 390 calories including the dressing and corn chips, it is a very tasty lunch.

McDonald's - grilled chicken southwest salad. Family restaurants - eggs and fruit, with whole wheat toast (if any bread). Many have egg white omelets. Or... ask for grilled chicken breast cooked with no butter or sauces and whatever vegetables they have. Steak houses - I order steak or chicken, and again asked for it to be…

The Don't(s) Each point is so right on!! I am really bad about 2 and 3. I also am bad about focusing too much on how much I STILL have to lose, which again keeps me feeling and treating myself as that unworthy fat person - no matter what the other successes I've had. Thank you so much for the great post, and incredible…

Also don't forget the nut butters, although high in (good) fats.
