  • I would also like to be able to jump high enough to get on my horse bareback from the ground - I see others doing it and looks so awesome! She isn't all that tall but as i'm only 5 foot I need to have good spring!
  • I second that! I love to wear dresses in summer but tend to wear bike shorts under them otherwise my thighs chaff really badly.... would love to be able to leave the shorts at home :)
  • Asylum is kicking my butt LoL. But I'm persevering through it - I really enjoyed the strength workout and back to core. I was wondering why the first of only 2 rest days was so soon in the program - I am now convinced it is so you don't cry after doing vertical plyo the first time... 1 week down 3 more to go!
  • I've decided to give Insanity: Asylum a go now that I'm finished Insanity. I'm a little scared LoL. I have great motivation though (holiday in vanuatu leaving 2 days after I should finish the program!) so I'm hoping I can stick in there and I have my fingers crossed for some good results too. So my overall impression of…
  • Thanks - I will look into this. I have some dumbells at home already and I do miss them :)
  • 3 Days to go until I am finished the program!! So excited.... although it leaves me with a 4 week gap before I head overseas on holiday so I am actually contemplating kicking though month 2 again - I must be INSANE :)
  • Yep it happens to us all.... I admit this week I was feeling a bit insanity'd out so instead of the fit test I went for a run with the dog. It was a nice change and reminded me that I hate running LoL. I think it helped me bring back my "A game" on Max Interval Plyo the next day :)
  • Hi! I just found your forum and so pleased to see so many others doing insanity :) I am half way through week 6 and am loving it. As others have mentioned the first week KILLED my calves and I found I had to do lots of extra stretching but kept plugging away and now I just feel AWESOME when I finish a workout. Results wise…
  • I am now coming up to the end of week 5 - so proud of myself for sticking in there!! I have lost inches and can definitely see and feel an improvement (and they say the most change happens in the second month so I'm so excited!!) The second month circuits are longer and a bit more challenging but I am actually finding them…
  • My suggestion would be to not pay too much attention to the scale.... It's not uncommon for people to not actually lose much "weight" doing insanity but you get fitter and lose inches (which is better IMO!) Take measurements and photos over focusing on a single number off the scale. Rather than starting with the goal to…
  • You are rocking those Abs - great job!!
  • bump - I just started week 3 insanity this week :)
  • I've just started week 3 of insanity. It is tough but feel awesome when finish a workout. It is high impact so make sure your FORM is right otherwise you do risk hurting yourself - slow down a bit if you need to in order to do the exercise RIGHT. I haven't had any knee/joint issues so far. In terms of calories burned -…
  • I realized today that I can touch my toes (without bending my knees) for the first time EVER!
  • I just finished Week 1 Day 1 :) This is my 2nd attempt and hoping to stick with it this time around (last time only got to day 3 before falling off the wagon LoL) Hoping that some support from MFP will help me through.
  • I would recommend still doing SOME cardio even if its just a brisk walk or taking the stairs... Obviously we all want to look great and you can achieve that with diet and weights but who wants to be the person gasping for breath if they have to walk up a slight hill?? There are more benefits to cardio then weightloss...
  • I know how you feel as I'm in Australia too - 41 degrees today! I tend not to exercise during the extreme heat (unless I decide to go swimming). If you really feel the need to exercise maybe a gym if its air-conditioned. Keep up the fluids if you do decide to do anything as heat will really get you! When in the middle of…
  • I like the Jillian Michaels ones - 30 day shred might be a good place to start (I am doing Ripped in 30 but I think 30DS is meant to be a bit easier if your just getting into them). There are modifiers on there to show how people can do the exercises when they are just starting out and then can progress to the more…
  • I definitely understand what you mean! I am off to USA for 4 weeks soon and last time I was there for a month I gained 5kg... I hope not to do that again (I only JUST got that weight off again!)... Much harder when on holidays but I plan to tackle it by: - exercising - do lots of walking while sightseeing. Get off subway…
  • I have a Rhodesian Ridgeback - perfect fit for us and love her to bits  Also want to shout out the rats make awesome pets too - had a few previously and they are so full of personality!
  • I eat my exercise calories back for the most part - I am conscious of the fact that the amount of calorie burn can be overestimated so often I will only eat back 50-75% or so of the "extra" calories earned. I also use a HRM so that it is a bit more accurate. I am only 5"1 though with a net target of 1260 so I find my body…
