Need an Insanity Partner

Excellent stuff Kwyze. The Asylum is a whoe other level again, but if you've done Insantiy you'll be grand.
The workouts are ( in the main ) shorter, but the intensity and addition of some equipment just elevates the plan.
Hope you enjoy it.
I've been adding a few Insanity workouts in to my current plan, but starting at the end of July, I'm going 3 months start to finish Insanity - Asylum - and I'm gonna do it in a 20kilo Vest.
Can't wait.
If I didn't ove my grub so much I'd be in shape by now. lol0 -
I'm in need of an Insanity partner as well.
I'm starting my program on July 1st (today).
I've been holding back on what I've should of done last year but I've barely made it to day 3.5 then never came back. I did Les Mills Combat and I was quite successful with it for almost 6 months or so... After a while I've grown tired of the same routine and gave up since things got in the way. I had been training for 6 weeks at a MMA place for a Fighter Fit trial for 6 weeks... Sadly I was too poor to continue when the trial was over.
Since mid May of this year, I've been out of commission since I got sick and I found it harder and harder to workout since I've been working overnights and my feet are really sore when I get home as I'm on my feet for 7 hours. Working out before work is ideal to me, it's easy to say that... But a little tough for me to follow through. :indifferent:
Here's to hoping I'd get my first week of Insanity done so I could be motivated to continue knowing "I CAN DO IT!" Besides, my fitness level had definitely changed compared to the last time I've touched Insanity. This would be my break before getting into Les Mills Combat Ultimate Hybrid Warrior program -- unless Insanity gets the best of me and I end up buying the Asylum upgrade, trying Turbo Fire, or start lifting more weights when I get a gym membership again (if I'm not broke).
So if there's anyone else in the thread or MFP who is starting today, feel free to add me! :happy:0 -
Hey everybody -sound off. How's it going for you?
I'm coming up on finishing the recovery week. I'm kind of in love with Core Cardio and Balance. Anyone else notice the one guy who keeps stopping throughout the whole workout? I mean come on! It's the easiest workout so far!
That said, I've lost ZERO weight in the last five weeks while doing Insanity (and running 4 days a week). It's been really frustrating. But I took a measuring tape to myself yesterday and found I've lost 1.5" on my waist, another 1.5" on my chest and .25" on my neck. So I guess the buckets of sweat are doing something...0 -
The weight comes in the second month - the workouts are about 30% longer and the intensity doesn't drop, it almost hits a level of steady state cardio at times - except really high intensity.
Like sprinting a 10k...ummmm.
Actually that's not that much of an exaggeration - I had my 10k down to 54 minutes by the end and some of the later sessions are longer than that - and then there are days when you double up.....
The sweating is ridiculous isn't it?
How long between you finishing a session and cooling down enought to get a proper shower?
I'm like 15 - 20 mins.0 -
I'm back in the swing since my holiday break. I've lost 7 pounds since I started a month ago. That's a good sustainable rate of loss.
You can feel the fitness drop off even on such a short break so I don't recommend doing what I did.

I'm in my first week of insanity and love it.0

Excellent stuff 2day.
How are the calves?0 -
I think about starting Insanity tomorrow...0

Get yourself some gel insoles for work and also your shoes for doing training trust me :flowerforyou:0 -
I am still here despite getting a flu and my hay fever kicking off, I have improved a lot and can now almost go through the whole warm up without breaking. Any 1 here can go through it without stopping but had problems before like to catch your breath and a bit of pain relief. Be honest.0

Asylum is kicking my butt LoL. But I'm persevering through it - I really enjoyed the strength workout and back to core.
I was wondering why the first of only 2 rest days was so soon in the program - I am now convinced it is so you don't cry after doing vertical plyo the first time... 1 week down 3 more to go!0 -
I just crawled out of the shower after doing Plyometric Cardio Circuit... Omg... I did take tons of breaks, I am hardly counting the last circuit as 'done' as I seriously couldn't keep up, but gosh I feel amazing right now. Had a lovely dinner and now I feel like pure bliss. Still shaking a little0
-
I'm the same... I can't keep up towards the end of the workout and I take breaks, and I can't do tricep dips at all. But that doesn't matter, because I'm improving and I commit all my effort to the workout.
If Insanity was only for folks who are as fit as the ripped guys & girls on the DVD it wouldn't sell much.
Work. Sweat. Take breaks. Work & sweat some more. As long as you're taking breaks when you need to rather than wussing out then you're going to get benefit.0 -

100% boss. When I first did it, the warm up kicked me senseless, I still think it's the hardest part of the workout, because it's 11 minutes none stop, continuously increasing in pace.
Firs time I did it without stopping, got to the end of the rd round of high knees and thought I was Batman!0 -

Vertical plyo is so tough, but it & strength are my 2 favourites.0 -
Hi y'all. I just started Insanity last week. I've taken a few more rest days than the program calls for - especially over the holiday last weekend.
All in all, I LOVE Insanity!! I've been working out at the gym for the last couple of years (with minimal results) and oftentimes, I'd leave wondering if I'd done enough, worked hard enough, pushed myself enough. With Insanity, these questions NEVER cross my mind, lol! I feel like I accomplish more in 40 min of Insanity than I used to in 1.5 - 2 hours at the gym. It's like I have a personal trainer!
Those first few sessions - phew! I thought I was dying! Surprisingly, the last couple of workouts have been much easier, I'm taking less breaks, pushing myself just a tiny bit harder, digging deeper.
I'd love to get some friends that are also doing Insanity so we can all talk about how great it is!0 -
Starting again from scratch tonight with a 20 Kg vest and resistance bands on the legs.
Will post the fit test results tomorrow, should make for some funny reading.0 -
I am glad to hear from you guys, so I know I am not alone  . But seriously Happy to hear every still digging.0

Not the best idea to do one at 8pm and the other at 6pm, not enough time for recovery.0 -

Before this I did T25 alpha, beta and gamma, p90x3 and 21day fix. None of them gave me results like this. I gained a lot of muscle on the others but this one I have lost pounds and inches.. I plan to repeat month two when I am done to get it in before vacation in August.. I will take t25 with me while I do vacation because I acan always find 25 minutes in my day. Feel free to add me if yor are still wanting partners for accountiblility.0

I just started week 3. I have a long way to go to get the inch loss and weight loss I'm looking for, but I have to say that of all the other workout programs that I have done before, this one is leaving me feeling good with a sense of accomplishment at the end of each workout session. I cannot keep up and do as fast as they can in the videos, but this week so far I can do without stopping before water breaks, and my body feels different....I feel like I sit and stand straighter and always trying to keep my core tight throughout the day...I actually look forward to my workouts each day! Anyone can feel free to add me. Thanks0
