I'm also on Week 1, Day 2 of C25K using the RunDouble app. I'm going by time (Run for 1min, walk for 1min). I have my music on and the App speaks to me, telling me when to switch to running or walking so it's easy to keep going without looking at my watch or trying to judge distance. I have no idea if I'm slow or fast tho,…

Make sure you haven't added '1 container' of something.

Just completed Week 1 Day 1. I use an HRM and the RunDouble android app. Since I am gonna walk a bit before and after I'm done, I just enter in my exercise diary what my HRM says when I'm done. The RunDouble app for C25K does calculate the cals burnt but this relies on your weight etc being inputted and is an estimate. HRM…

Really want to get into this. I am not a runner, I enjoyed long distance/cross country at school but now I am out of shape and kind of apprehensive. I can walk for miles and enjoy the outdoors but am a bit self conscious when running/gasping in public lol I know it's probably not the best or most accurate way, but I have…

Have oatmeal/porridge most days, use half milk, half water and to make it a treat, I sprinkle in a teaspoon of cocoa powder (although it has to be high quality and not full of crap) The tiny bit of cocoa goes a long wy when you mix it through. I find it very filling and I was raised on it so it doesn't feel like a…

You have a great attitude and with that, you will surely succeed! This is what MFP is all about, making choices, making change and feeling good! Keep up the good work, you should be proud of yourself!

Same here, bored with it. Muted the dvd and had music on when doing Day 9 but when I was doing abs I couldnt see when to move on so I had to suffer Jillian again. She's not my favourite person right now, despite being good this past week, alot of exercise and being under my cals etc I managed to lose NOTHING lol I really…

Not long until we're all suffering Level 2. It will be good to try out new routines... unless it's push ups! Now for me to moan... despite being under my calories - being very good all week with fat and sugar also, exercising in addition to the Shred, the scales say I've gained two pounds so far this week. Anyone else…
-
I should add that I do wear clothes too when doing the Shred, not just socks

I have ear trouble so I totally know how you feel about the balance thing. I normally do the Shred wearing just socks so I find my foot slipping away sometimes, gonna try it in sports shoes and see if it gives me better grip. For me, push-ups or crunches are the most challenging. I agree that the arm flies at the end give…

Two inches, great work! Must feel great to visibly see your waist shrinking! I feel foolish now cos I never took measurements when I started this. Should I do it now and then at the end of the 30 days? Todays workout... definitely feeling more flexible and really going for those butt kicks now. Jump rope at the end, a lot…

I am actually but I changed my eating times when I started MFP, to avoid eating my evening meal too late at night, so I'm finding I want breakfast soon after I wake up. You must be burning lots off, a good sign! Also, I'm not eating before I do the Shred cos it made me feel quite sick the other day.

Crunches and press ups are my real weakness. I've managed to pull a muscle or something in my neck/collarbone when straining on the crunches, so I' not looking forward to todays workout! Instead of hands behind ears, I'm gonna try arms up in the air and crunching up as if I'm trying to reach something from the ceiling. I…

Been doing some stuff on Wii Fit, about 200 cals extra, will be walking this weekend, trying to keep The Shred as a constant daily thing and choosing different things 'as a treat'. Yes, I really am that sad lol

As far as I know, we do 10 days on Level 1, 10 on 2 and last 10 on Level 3. With each day I'm beginning to feel better nearer the end of the workout and worse at the beginning. Think there's something wrong with me, I'm actually enjoying it lol

I have a problem in my right sole so it did feel a bit tender afterwards but no lasting pain on the left. The skipping seemed to hurt more when I followed the beginner so I did bigger jumps and it felt a little better. Day 2 not as painful as I imagined. I will probably be in agony again tomorrow lol It's all worth it!…

The one I bought has a chest strap thing that your wear around you, just under your boobs and it has two sensors which pick up your heartbeat and transmit the info to a watch on your wrist. When you set it up, you input your weight etc and it works out from there based on when and how long your heart rate is elevated, how…

Yep, calf pain here too, I'm just about to do day 2 and psyched after my weigh in but I imagine the next 25 minutes will kill me! My hrm arrived today and I'm still trying to test it out so I will see what cals it says I burn after the workout.
-
It's the morning after Day 1 and I am feeling it! Thighs and glutes are aching but I am gonna do it after work today. The way I see it, yes it's painful but for the sake of burning approx 300 cals yesterday, I'm not gonna let that prevent me from exercising today. I'm obviously using muscles that aren't used to it so I…

Hi, I'm Pamela from Scotland. I just turned 30 and decided it's time I finally lost this weight, it's been piling on for about 6 years. I live with my partner (who is vegetarian) so I often get to try meat-free alternatives which can work out a lot less fat than the meaty options. I have never really been into exercise…

I'm in! Let's do this!

Day 1 Level 1 done. As a complete beginner to fitness videos (yes... really!) it wasn't as painful or irritating as I imagined lol I am also doing EA Sports Active 2 on the Wii but not sure how to log these exercises into MFP. Should I manually enter the value of calories burnt from EA Sports into my diary? Anyone know how…

EA Sports Active 2 is my usual, finally ordered a Wii fit board so hoping for a bit of variety.

I was working through the weekend, apart from today so it was 'business as usual' for me. A friend sent me photos of a party she went to and I salivated like a dog!

Breakfast - Shredded Wheat and semi skimmed milk Lunch - Bit of a weird combo. One slice toasted Kingsmill 50/50 with one boiled egg. With a small jacket potato and scoop of tuna mayo. Dinner - Mashed sweet potato with an oven baked salmon fillet, with a chilli cube on top. I was working out after lunch so made sure I…

Welcome Cherry! I'm trying to lose about the same so feel free to add me. As I lose more, I also want to concentrate on fitness so I'm kinda doing this in two stages, it'll all be worth it! Long weekend? Some of us had to work through it! :( lol day off tomorrow and weigh-in is Thursday. Good luck and let us know your…

I don't often shop in Morrisons but was there recently and found myself picking up a dragon fruit and thinking that I'd never seen it on sale in a general supermarket before. Suppose it's a good thing if you're getting bored of eating the same stuff, and want to try new recipes.

Yup, in my first week here I was scared off by people telling me I was in starvation mode and even one kind person who suggested I see a counsellor! I am always under my calories, always over in protein. It seemed that I was focussing on eating lean foods (low fat, low sugar) but they were also typically low calorie foods.…
