I don't use the DVDs but I do go to zumba class and I think it's been pivotal in my weight loss. I love it because it's fun cardio that doesn't get boring.

See what your weekly weight loss goal is set at. Docs generally recommend 1-2lbs a week for healthy, sustainable loss. If you're getting those results, just go with it. MFP is designed to cut enough calories for that weight loss.

Don't do that. I'm guessing your reasoning for wanting to be under 100lb has more to do with your insecurities (which are way normal at your age) than your body. Please get help.

Exactly this! My hubby has a totally opposite diet from me, no matter how hard I try to convince him. Planning what you eat and when makes a huge difference. I take my lunches for work and school, and I find recipes to plan dinners. To be fair, we have crazy schedules and don't often eat together which makes meal planning…

Most of the medical literature I've been reading strongly suggests that the type of calories (fats are really still just calories) really doesn't matter for overall weight loss; calories in/out is the key. They do say for reasons not totally understood that low carb diets work. Personally, I tend to avoid straight carbs…

I don't just because I know that the stuff I do at work (cocktail waitress, so I run around carrying stuff), varies from day to day depending on how busy we get. I figure it all balances out, like most things in life. If you stay within an narrow ranges on your "active" days it might make sense to change it.

i find a lot of moms do this. You make sure your kids eat healthy, but you don't really think about what you're eating. Start focusing on healthy FAMILY choices (you can all cook at home, take family walks, play sports with the kids. . . . ). Of course the kids need more calories than you do, but that doesn't mean you have…

Zumba is awesome, and is the only cardio I truly enjoy. I always just use the "dancing, aerobic, ballet or modern, twist" it seems like a good approximation

http://www.usms.org/health/ i just stared swimming (mainly because I hate running and I need some cardio) This website is great, it has everything you would need to know.

The machines at curves are all hydrolic, so the effort you put in is really key. I tried curves but i wasn't really too impressed with it. It's based on a 30min circuit workout which you're supposed to do 3x a week. I was looking for more intense cardio than running in place, and didn't really care so much about the…

The estimate from the fitbit is not going to be accurate because you have to consider when using a bike (stationary or not) it's more efficient in terms of energy than just walking or running would be. Your weight is supported by the bike, which will decrease the amount of calories burned and you cover ground much easier…

yes, yes it is. Having excess sodium in your diet is going to pull more fluid into your vasculature, damaging cell walls and forcing the heart to work harder (not in a good way). It also puts a strain on your liver and kidneys. Staying at approximately 2500mg a day is a good goal to have.

I lived on campus for 3 years at Colorado State. I actually lost 15lbs my first semester. I'm guessing CSU's dining halls are not alone in this but they have lots of healthy options, you just have to pay attention. Every hall had a salad bar, there was grilled chicken at every meal and they had skim milk on tap (so to…

It sounds to me like compulsive binge eating. Chances are there is something going on inside of you that make you want to comfort yourself. I would visit a counselor, because from what you posted it's not just about food anymore.
