If so, you look amazing, So Welcome and Keep in touch with the MFP people .... they are awesome! Throw a shrimp on the barbie..... I will order you a deep dish pizza LOL…

biggest downfall for me is salsa and chips...thanks for the tip. I will TRY, but man those chips are EVIL! LOL

Welcome. I have found everyone to be so great at MFP. I hope you do as well. I love that you focus spiritually! Very cool. What I have done with some success: I have cut sugar and sodium, not just calories. I work out everyday, some days harder than others but I always do something, even if it is walking around the block.…

You are not alone at all, I do that a lot. I was getting discourage for a while because I had a three week period when I lost nothing, but I kept up the exercise. I tried to mix it up too, both food and exercise. But I never loose that exact 1 lb a week. Must be working though because I am 22 lbs lighter than I was January…

Yeah .... I re-found my motivation once I signed up for a race..Did an 8k and a couple 5k's. I recently found out about myself that if I don't have a date on the calendar to train for I tend to slack off.....so new rule in my house. is always keep a date on the calendar. Helps me keep foucused. Good Luck with your swim...

you will, just show up. if nothing else, you will build great habits and have accountablility to yourself. It's actually is a lot of fun, just throw yourself in full force for a while. I love how much the MFP people have to offer. Hang tough and really get into it and you will, without a doubt, feel better.

Perhaps wear a heart monitor and see what it logs, it seems to be much more accurate because you program it for your personal size. I use mine with the chest belt when I am doing heavy duty cleaning, gardening, etc. Just to get an idea. I also discount the calories it records just for good measure...not sure why I do that…

thanks...I have wondered about this for awhile and that brief article was helpful, I buy big bottles of water but I think I won't for awhile and test the WATERS. ..LOL excuse the pun! I am pretty careful about sodium myself
-
Is this true? Because all the water in my house is also through the water softener. Our toilets run with cold water and if I don't use the softner they turn orange....just wondering
-
Well put! Especially the last sentence. Just use common sense. I just got back from a two week vacation and I managed to maintain....I was thrilled. Get some hiking or something in too. You'll do great, but like she said, HAVE FUN TOO! Enjoy

Welcome back! I did the same thing, took a break from MFP but unlike you I actually gained ALOT of weight because all my good habits went to the wayside. I don't know why it works for me, it just does.

I agree, some great ideas here. I have not reached my goal yet but I also focus on my heart health and toning/muscle strength. CONGRATS on a job well done -

That's great! You should be so proud of yourself! You look fantastic. I'm on my last 10 lbs and its hard. I think I need to mix it up a little to get moving again. Have a great weekend!

I still eat fruit just not processed. Really, I probably don't eat enough fruit, I'm a veg head but I do try to get it in my diet.
-
thanks - I'll give that a look, cheaper too. I run and lift but really want to find something to tighten the middle at my stage in the game (getting older, tummy harder to keep harder)
-
How cool is that! You are so lucky your sister called. Beautiful, beautiful and proud of you that you did it.
-
hi, don't get discouraged. go to the intro on this site and read about calorie intake, etc. I don't necessarily believe that your body goes into starvation mode in a day but long term you can really get on a yoyo thing if you don't eat enough. the other thing that i know is that sugar and sodium were so bad for me. I cut…

thanks everyone....I love this site because of people like you. Enjoy the day!

I live in a farming area...how do you find a local grass fed beef "dealer"?

I saw that movie too - scary! Makes me like bocca burgers much more LOL. Kinda sick about the conditions the animals have to live in. I mean I know they are being raised for food but my God, how cruel. I've never been a bif fan of ground anything, but now it really turns me off. If I do eat it, I can guarantee it is cooked…

I agree with so much that was posted here. I have gone 3 weeks with nothing and then 4 lbs is gone. It's the long term, healthy lifestyle that you need to stride for not the number on the scale. I weight myself on Friday to keep myself on track throughout the weekend and then again on Monday to encourage me though the…
