I was just going to post this link! The program and diet advice is awesome!

^ That is good advice. Another awesome program which I just started is Jamie Eason's LiveFit 12 Week Trainer...you can check it out here: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/jamie-easons-livefit-phase-1.html

If you are using MFP settings, try to reach your calorie goal every day. If you are adding exercise, many would suggest to eat back 50-75% of close calories (especially if you are using the calories burned given by the machine or MFP, which are likely inflated). If you're within 100 calories of your goal every day, you've…

I didn't know this was a "thing." Interesting :P

Today was leg day... did squats, leg press, standing and seated calf raises, and leg extension. The workout lasted about 70 minutes, and it was amazing! Pushed myself super hard and after 4 sets on leg press in the 300lb range, I hit 1 rep of 500lb. It was awesome!

I am still a work in progress...but I am 6' also and started at 215, currently down to 190. 140 sounds REALLY low to me for such a tall gal, but everyone carries their weight differently so it may be a good weight for you. Good luck :)

I feel really inspired. Thank you!

Thanks for the clarifying questions. I typically work out 3-4 times a week, mainly lifting with a short cardio warm up. Calorie burns are different from day to day, but a ballpark figure would be 200-260 cals on work out days. I usually eat about 75% of those calories back. BMR is 1716, TDEE is 2651. I don't know my body…

Bump. Anyone?

It hasn't been an issue on here at all. If it's on your profile you could leave it off and no one would ever have to know you're an evil atheist :P

If you are worried about not being able to keep the produce stocked, you could instead buy canned fruit and vegetables...try to look for those that have no extra sugar added and/or lower sodium. I'm in college also and I know it can be hard to eat healthy while on a budget, but it's so worth it! Buy frozen chicken in bulk,…

Yes, I regret not taking a before picture. I didn't even think to do that...I just jumped right into eating better and working out. I started taking pictures about half way through, but definitely wish I would have right at the beginning!

old navy has really cute work out clothes for pretty cheap.

That's awesome! Sounds delicious. Way to make some healthy choices! I think for most of us, eating out is the hardest part.

Yes. Reddit is the best. Especially r/progresspics, r/fitness, and r/loseit!

Hell yeah!

My suggestion: network like crazy. A lot of times in the job hunt, it's all about who you know. It may seem counter-intuitive, but start doing informational interviews with people. Make connections. Follow up. This could be a huge help for you down the road. If you have an in at a company and end up applying to an open…

I'm in MN too and this is awesome!
