Ladies- spotting due to change in diet?
Hi ladies of MFP, I have only been on this site for about 2 weeks now, and have lost 5 pounds. I am on Levora birth control pills, and have been for over a year. I am extremely consistent at taking them at exactly the same time every day. I have rarely rarely had problems with spotting before my regular period, but since I…

Calling all you badass fit chicks!
Like all of you, I love lifting and am working towards a fit, lean body. I'd love to add some of you awesome ladies to my FL! I feel like most of us share similar goals (get fit, stronger, lose fat, etc), so I'd love to be friends and share progress, tips, etc. on here. Feel free to add me!

Best lifts for shoulder and triceps?
MY upper body is coming along well, but my biceps are improving more quickly than my shoulders and triceps, so I'd like to work on that. Can anyone suggest some lifts I can do to improve my shoulders and triceps? For shoulders, I have been doing dumbbell shrugs and arm raises primarily. For triceps, I have been doing dips…

Changing settings to lose .5/week
I currently weigh between 188-190 and ideally want to get down to 175ish. I am 5'11" and currently eat ~1870 calories a day. I've heard lots of suggestions that when you get within 10-15 pounds of your goal you should change your settings to lose .5 pounds a week. Will it hurt me if I continue to leave it set to lose 1lb a…

The scale hasn't gone down, but I see progress!
So, I have been at this since the end of May 2012, but I never thought to take pictures at the beginning. Two months ago I began to focus my efforts on weight lifting and decided to take some pictures then to document my progress. Tonight, for no special reason really, I took some progress pictures...and comparing them…

Recovering from a bad weekend
I'm sure I'm not the only one to experience this...but when you let your guard down for an entire weekend for whatever reason, it's sooo hard to get back on track. How do you deal with this?

Thoughts on pleatueaing
As I was walking home from the gym today, I had a thought. Whenever a person hits a plateau they are always told to switch up their workouts or increase calories (usually both). It made me wonder, has anyone ever hit a plateau and stuck it out doing their same routine, and then come out of the rut? I was just curious if…

Tall girls in their 20s!
I am certainly not new to this site, but since this is the place to go to call out for friends, I figured I would go here to try to get some more friends who have similar goals to me. I'm 21, 5'11" SW: 217 CS: 197 GW: 180 (or lower...we'll see when we get there) This site has been a HUGE help and I am very grateful to all…
