  • Thanks for some really good advice and suggestions. I do take a multi-vitamin everyday. I'm going to focus on increasing both my protein and fat intake. I usually hit my daily proteing goal in MFP...but never come close to the fat goal. Cheers!
  • Agree. Calories are way too precious to give up in alcohol. I used to drink a lot of beer but won't sacrifice those calories anymore. And beers like Miller 64 or Bud Select 55 are low in calories but have significantly less alcohol in them. Instead, I prefer to drink bourbon on the rocks and forgo any mixers. An ounce of…
  • I've looked at a lot of breakfast cereals and have settled on Kroger's rice bitz toasted rice cereals. I'm sure that you could find a similar generic brand. It has 100 calories per 1 cup and only 240mg sodium and 2g sugar. I eat it with half-cup of skim milk and half-cup of either fresh blueberries, raspberries, or…
  • Me too. I buy Nature's Own Whitewheat sandwich rounds - 100 calories/4g fiber per roll. I like to toast it and then some oven roasted turkey, lowfat 2% swiss cheese, hot banana peppers, and a little French's mustard! That's about 230 calories for the entire sandwich!
  • I add hot banana peppers or jalapeno peppers as a topping on my sandwich at lunch. It's a great way to add flavor to say an oven-roasted turkey sandwich without adding high-fat condiments like mayonnaise.

  • If you can afford it, go to Paris, France. You can find smaller affordable boutique hotels by doing some research...and the food and romantic aspect of it is amazing. Bonne chance !
  • 1. Eggs 2. Fresh & frozen fruit - particularly strawberries, blueberries, raspberries & kiwi 3. Non-fat yogurt 4. Oven roasted turkey breast 5. Fresh vegetables (spinach, iceberg lettuce, corn, carrots, celery, radishes, tomatoes)
  • Why become a slave to the scale? I weigh myself once a week - every Thursday morning as soon as I wake up. I used to weigh myself everyday, but like several people responding here, grew tired of the constant fluctuation (due to water retention, clothes, etc.) as well as the emotional ups and downs of daily weight loss or…
  • My wife mixes vodka with Crystal Light natural pink lemonade - 50/50. Add crushed ice and a mint leaf or squeeze of lime. It tastes really good and all of the calories are in the vodka. I agree with previous comments that it's the mixers, particularly in fruity tropical drinks, that will cause the most damage. Enjoy!
