Well, I've been struggling with the same thing. This week has been my hardest so far. I just keep telling myself to stop being so critical and unforgiving to my own flaws. Day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute just try to stay grounded and be patient. It all comes with time and we can't let weight loss run our lives.…

Honestly, I keep jelly bellies at my desk - one or two usually kick my craving for sugar and they're pretty low in cals too I believe.

This is the type of thing I wrote about yesterday in my blog too... Still trying to come to terms with it. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/digitalyssa/view/post-trip-uncertainty-49813

It's not just physical bloating it's also a psychological reaction to your hormonal change as well. Your likely not feeling yourself because you're not. Plain and simple. Don't weigh yourself, and just ride it out until it's over.

This week I only lost .2, last week I lost 2 lbs... and before that nothing. It really depends. I measure myself. For example, I measure once a month and this month I lost an inch off of my waist and hips and thighs. That is success in my books.

I find that I am mild one month, then the next month I'm dealing with MAJOR symptoms. This is normal for me.

I'm not sure about your particular situation, but my mom had to get a tummy tuck because no amount of exercise would let it go away.

I was able to fully cross my legs today without "helping" my leg by lifting it farther over. It seems weird but it's amazing how the little things remind of us of our progress.

I noticed a HUGE money savings, especially in eating out. I don't do that nearly as much anymore, biiiiig cost savings for sure!

@fitterpam, that's odd! In Alberta we do as well...

Seriously, some people do, and so do I - have a cheat day. Have 1 day a week or 1 day every 10days or so to just eat what you want. Watch the portions, but just get it out of your system. I've also just found healthy foods that I like to substitute bad ones. I love couscous salad, although I can't stand normal salads, I…

Good for you! I hope to be there in 10-15lbs :) So close I can taste it!

for me, ALWAYS in the evenings.

I have the same problem. I try to limit myself to weighing in once a week and also doing measurements every other week.

Good stuff, you have a right to be VERY proud!

You have to be careful. Especially for leaching essential vitamins and nutrients out of your body. And your body does need a level of salt to function normally. My boyfriend's dad used to work at a metal forgery where it was very hot, they were used to drinking ALOT of water, but eventually they found they had to add salt…

Very inspiring!

My take: Everything in moderation. I don't drink toooo much. And when I do I drink vodka water with a wedge of lime. (Lucky that that's what I like drinking) And of course I'm a sucker for wine. I just make sure I have enough calories to drink a glass or two. But I say, if you like drinking, drink - just be smart about it!

I've heard about it, it's been around for 10 years as far as I know. They claim it is supposed to help, but I'm not sure how. Theres also green tea extract, I'm interested in both. Anyone care to join in on the discussion and enlighten us?

I try to drink the majority of the water during the day at work, it gives me a nice break from my computer screen. At night I'll have 1 or 2 with my meal, by the time you go to sleep, most of it should be out of your system - at least mine is... And as for 8 cups of water, I usually drink 6 cups, with more if I'm working…

Look up on the internet for home exersize, you could do chair dips, you could try one arm pushups with the other arm on a piece of slippery paper, squats (even jumping squats), planks, for cardio look up yoga sun salutations (it's a short sequence repeated fast to get your heart rate going) I could probably go on and on.…

You are doing so well, and everything you are doing sounds like the right things... I guess the only thing I would suggest is maybe stepping away from machines... do stairs, running, yoga, pilates. Try working out in the mornings to boost your metabolism, and make sure you're eating breakfast. Look up foods that are meant…

don't sweat it, we ALL have those days. don't give up!

Check out this post from earlier today. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/128102-step-away-from-the-scale?hl=scale#posts-1737897

You SHOULD be eating those calories, your body needs them to provide you energy. It's a fine line, if you don't eat enough, your body may go into starvation mode which will store extra fat.
-
If you're working out (and you haven't for a while) you may be gaining muscle. It may take weeks, maybe a month to see that pay off, but soon as your body is supporting more muscle mass, your metabolism will increase and the weight will come off. You will see, just trust the process. :)

Amazing article, thank you for sharing!

I have a scale that measures body fat, bone mass, muscle mass and body water, as well as I measure and weigh myself on a weekly basis. It's easy to obsess about the scale on a daily basis, but try not to let it get to you. Other measurements might also give you a better indication of your progress. Hang in there!
